Christians take the word of the New over the Old. Two different Gods.

2 different Gods?!?!?

Okay, now I'm confused.

I'll let you guys sort it out.

And further, the new God is in fact three gods, but the three gods (The Father, The Son, The Holy Ghost) are just aspects of the one God, but you cannot worship God with worshipping the Trinity, because if you don't worship the Trinity of God you are rejecting aspects of the one God...

The Council of Nicea made a mess of it, in my opinion.

Just chucking this one out there. Not sure what I make of it.

It is a quote from Tony Benn - a famous left-wing politician here in the UK. I just came across it today...

"There is no moral difference between a Stealth bomber and a suicide bomber. They both kill innocent people for political reasons."

Tsarnaev guilty on all 30 counts.

Next they will figure out whether he gets the death penalty or not.

Yep.

Pretty amazing the defense admitted his guilt in the opening statements. There are videos of him planting the bomb in a trashcan right next the 8-year old blown apart.

I hope he is executed, he's a threat to national security not to mention there needs to be a message against the radical Muslims.

I think the plan on the defense was not to fight facts but plant seeds to avoid the death penalty. I am cool with the death penalty in this particular case. I just don't see some miraculous set of facts that will prove he didn't do it 10 years later while he is on death row. Only problem is does that make him a martyr? Or better just for him to quietly wither away in prison?

I think he should executed too, but I fail to see how it would send a message to radical Muslims. For them, dying for their faith means a place in heaven.

And not killing him shows we are weak and deserve to be attacked again. I'd rather go with the martyr option because being perceived as weak is always more dangerous for a country in the long run.

The thing is I don't think they fear death. 72 Virgins and all that jazz.

People who go to this extreme are not worried about anything because they are so certain in their righteousness. Or they are just crazy. How do you put in any sort of reasoning. These guys accepted that they were going to die. Or so it seems, they had to have made some peace with that.

I am fine with the death penalty, I am fine with violence when required.

But let us think through the right steps.

If the punishment was the killing or imprisonment of their family members along with them, then I think the pressure to behave is there. Or something like that. But now that is a whole set of other issues.

But think about how many guys on RVF that say they don't give a fuck, they say they are alpha and all that. You think, (based on talk of course, I don't know how legit the claims of some RVF members are) that they will be held back by the fear of death when they think they got their shit together because they are such badasses?

Just giving the kid a trial probably got some new fans of this nonsense. Nothing is black and white in this matter.

The US didn't bury OBL in a cemetery, they dumped the body in the ocean to avoid having people go and visit his grave.

Can you provide a link to these videos of the bomb plantings? I didn't follow this story much when it occurred and I didn't see any at the time. Thanks!

43 SECONDS TO 47 SECONDS. You see him walk up with the bag stand next to the tree look down and you can see him drop the bag. No more bag on shoulder. Bomb goes off EXACTLY in the spot he was standing. Im really confused how this seems so hard for people to see. 43 SECONDS WHITE BACK PACK 46 SECONDS HE LOOKS DOWN 47 SECONDS YOU SEE HIS SHOULDER DROP AND HIM DROP THE BAG. ROCKET SCIENCE! How is this even up for debate when he admits it? Fucking people..... World is over populated with shit.

Ya, I have seen that video before. I thought there might have been a different video I hadn't seen yet.

He's a kid, I'm sure he doesn't give a shit about 72 virgins and fears death like a mother fucker.

I'll bet he's shitting bricks hoping he doesn't get put down.

A simple .45 ACP to his cranium would solve everything.

My punishment: Cut his balls off, let him bleed out, then set him on fire while still alive. Have pigs eat the remains, then parachute the pigs into Chechnya.

From what I understand Mass does not have the death penalty but these are federal crimes. Each juror was screened on their openness to the death penalty. However, it requires unanimous agreement. I bet one decides against it. The cynic in me says they will do it so they can write a book about how hard it was to decide, etc.

Apparently the prison if he doesn't get the death penalty, he will get sent to Supermax which is considered a clean version of hell.

So the jury has decided on the penalty be it life in prison or death.

For the lawyers out there, would the prosecutor have been allowed to hold back some crimes in case the first trial had not gone well? I am not sure if I articulated that well. Apparently, he is charged with 17 crimes. Could there be more that the prosecutor is holding on to?

Maybe the prosecutor thinks the kid needs to be executed and if he doesn't get that decision, he goes back for more in another trial with a different jury.

I know you are not allowed to be tried for the same crime twice. But, hypothetically, let's say the prosecutor left off the death of one person, then technically he has not been tried for that crime, right?

Just curious.

Thanks.

Edit: I imagine being sentenced to a SuperMax prison would be a lifetime of hell considering how young he is. But some people are very blood lusting for justice and only his death would be acceptable. But Supermax sounds like torture. And he has to wait a long time for his 72 virgins.

Dude was a useful idiot, not to mention he wasn't seen on any of the security camera videos of the event. There were however tons of Craft International (military contractors) goons walking around the area.

A decade or more before a needle touches his arm. Might as well sentenced him to life in prison - it's the same damn thing.

It just can't just be simple as taking him out back and a bullet to his head can it ?
