Skins season 4 as awful. Five and six were an improvement though. My favourite is season 3, but that's probably because it's the first I ever watched.

Skins is extremely popular in my age group. Almost like the Sex and the City of today for young girls because they all want to be as crazy and fucked up as the kids on that show are. I actually know way more girls than guys that watch it and can confirm that by looking at my friends who Liked it on Facebook.

The best moment of the show for me (and a lot of other people from what I've heard) was when Crystal Castles played Alice Practice in a club after the tragic thing that happened to Sid.

Inbetweeners if you want to laugh and cringe

FAQ about Time Travel is a pretty good underrated film.

Out of all the 'british gangster' that have come out over the last 15 years, even above Lock Stock and Snatch is Sexy Beast, absolutely outstanding, Ben Kingsley's best performance by a long way.

Monty Python's Life Of Brian is brilliant, at the time it came out they got so much hate and grief from Christians, it was even banned.

Four Lions is a british film about 4 terrorists, 3 of whom are absolute idiots. For comedic value it's brilliant.

Misfits was the rage for the first 2 seasons, mainly due to the character Nathan.

If you're looking at old school comedy there's Fawlty Towers, Porridge, Open All Hours, in the 90s there was Blackadder, Only Fools and Horses

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Life on Mars yet.

Brilliant show, awesome soundtrack. After you finish up Life on Mars, check out the sequel, Ashes to Ashes.

This is my favourite bit from Snuff Box:

Frankie Boyle's 'Tramadol nights' didn't get much attention but it's probably the funniest thing that's been on for a while in a totally un-PC way. I don't know if many American's would understand the accent though.

Definitely worth checking out:

Man, this thread has performed really well!

Thanks for all your recommendations, guys. There's at least two years worth of television and movies to watch listed here!

Keep the recommendations coming!

I really like the cop comedy Hot Fuzz, probably one of my favorite comedies in the last decade.

Yeah, that was a good one. I remember seeing Shaun of the Dead, also featuring Simon Pegg, when it first came out. Both were fun movies.

Pretty sure I also saw this flick in the movie theater:

Monty Python.....lame?? I think you're missing something there kid ;)

Spaced is awesome, same director and actors as Sean of the Dead, also great.

The first season (series) of Misfits is fucking awesome. The next couple seasons are not so great IMHO, but I would welcome someone to argue otherwise:

The Inbetweeners and Peep Show are kinda like the British versions of Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm.

As far as comedy movies are concerned, I loved A Fish Called Wanda as a young chap:

And I love Withnail & I as an adult who has lived in the UK (not London):
