In my 22 years in Canada i've only seen 2 street walkers. Prostitution is far from rampant here. In fact quite the opposite. I'm shocked when someone said there are tons of prostitutes in Montreal. I suspect that one would get this impression if they are hanging out in strip bars. Other than that I dont find it very existent.

There are streetwalkers in Vancouver, but they are only tollerated in very specific areas. The impression I got when there was that as long as they stay in the tollerated areas police won't give them too much trouble. I have no objection to legal prostitution, but picking up some random hooker on a street corner is pretty much the bottom of the barrell. I think it may be a bit of a fetish with some guys. I remember a local billionaire being caught with street-hookers in his car. Well, being caught for class A drug possesion, where it came out he was with hookers at the time of arrest. A billionaire, but his idea of a good time was picking up streetwalkers in the worst part of town. His name was Mr Something Ho. I kid you not.

Correct, this law also applies to bodyguards for the girls, which is a dangerous situation for them

you'd hope body guards or drivers would be able to rationalize in court they were not involved. I mean, drivers & bodyguards are not necessarily linked to just prostitutes, obviously.

I'm sure it's a wonderful situation to legalize prostitution but make it illegal for them to have protection or drivers.
