Cancelling the nation of Russia

The fattest pianist of our time, son of Nikas Safronov, who recently got stuck in an airplane toilet, has once again become a social media hero.

Luka Safronov chained himself to the door of a McDonald's on Pushkinskaya Street in Moscow. The 270-pound musician said before his arrest: "We are responsible for those we have tamed. They've been feeding us this food for 30 years, saying they love it and we should love it, and now they're abandoning us."

"Medical ethicist" Kaplan had called for blocking sending any medical supplies, medications or technologies to Russia (Russia has a lot of dependency on foreign medicines or ingredients for them). Suggestions from the same ones who demanded forcing gene therapies.

Ooh, such a sad day, a few millions of Instagram ladies will lose their attention-seeking whoring platform, in just a few minutes... Champagne!

On top of that, the boss of Meta/Facebook is about to be branded leader of an "extreme terror group". How long before Russia generates a Red Notice for the arrest of Zucker? Where Trump was not able to get the win over the GloboHomo tech companies, Putin is succeeding.

This won't help for posting things on Instagram but for those who want to view posts without logging in, I found these sites last week that work. I have no idea if they will work in Russia but people could try.

^ Note that this is only late-era Pink Floyd and leftovers like Gilmore solos, which pretty much suck. That's because Roger Waters, the frontman, still owns the rights to most of the good part of the group (1970s), and he is probably a bit more nuanced on geopolitics, having praised Russian intervention in Syria and called out the White Helmet NATO psyop.

I just find it a little bit rich of people that never lived under planned economy to cheer on this "spiritual cleansing" of Russia. There are side effects to extreme economic downturn and they have hardly led to virtue in the past cases. The whole Western world needs saving from degeneracy and isolating Russia will only make the lives of the ordinary Russians more miserable. The oligarchs will find energy markets elsewhere, but expect more misery for the other 99%.

I think there is some pride here in going against the mainstream that might be clouding your judgement. Poverty and hopelessness have lead mostly to suicides and alcoholism, if not downright barbarism, if the previous century taught us anything.

There is no force for good in this conflict.

Russian lives aren't going to be more miserable. There will be more jobs for the working class, with fewer auto and other imports, a nascent civil aviation industry that was on the brink before the sanction will now thrive and will employ tens of thousands of high-paying workers, with bright export prospects to countries like India, Vietnam, Pakistan, Tanzania where the economic growth rates are some of the highest in the world, more local restaurants with the closing of US chains, and so forth...

As well food will be cheaper in Russia with fertilizer and oil prices going cheaper domestically, as will gas prices. Exotic imports like pineapples or mangoes might go up a bit, though with India locked in as a trading partner, even that might not happen.

The income tax rate in Russia is 13%-15%. People in Moscow will pay about 5x-10x less for their gas than consumers in Paris or San Francisco. There probably hasn't been a better time in Russia to start a business. The Russian middle class will be in a unique situation, the only middle class in Europe or N. America whose economic prospects are bright.

Part of me hopes they follow through on this. It would be a huge overreaction and may wake people up to the fact that the UK government has behaved quite tyrannical. Hopefully it will also convince Russians to stop supporting the UK. Keep politics out of sports.

That's absolutely outrageous!
