Kenzo, Gucci or Bally loafers (I personally prefer black, but brown also work). All three of those are great brands.

Is there a bare of nasons with a thin sole? Like a barefoot version? I've been wearing vibrams for a year now so my feet are pretty used to it. Would be cool to have something for colder weather and less odd.

You should go to Nordstrom and browse the shoe dept. Skip the overprices $400 shoes and look at the casuals. They have some reasonably priced ($75) nikes, converse, adidas etc. Tennis shoe style..not running shoe though. Always need a good running shoe in the closet, but I'd skip them as a go-to casual pair.
I'd post a recommended pair but the Nordstrom website is down for maintenance at the moment.

Rockport has always had some good semi-casual shoes and boots. I have these which are a casual shoe/boot hybrid but looks like boots when you wear them with jeans:

What's up, Houston? I live at the Galleria!

How about the Converse "One Star" since you mentioned Chucks. It's a Converse model (their best, IMO) that you don't see around that often. They stopped making it in the mid 1990's and recently reintroduced the line. I ordered two pair from the website about a week ago.

I would post some pictures but apparently I need to have 10 posts. So, you'll have to Google it.

Cheers!

Picked up a pair of Vibrams, and I dont think I'd ever wear them other then exercising or out and about while exercising, but I'm half tempted to start a whole new thread simply on the benefits of "barefoot" running in these things.

This is a solid website. I learned a lot about barefoot running here.

Back to the original question.. I wear PF Flyers. Not only can I run faster i them, but I can jump higher too!

Hey players. I got some of these in black and grey a while back. I think I should of got a completely different brand for lighter shoes but oh well. What does everyone think? I like them...

Try these for the summer, they're on sale at Bass for cheap and I guarantee no one else you run into will have them.

I have been rocking slip-ons as my casual shoe for awhile. Specifically slip-ons from Del Toro Shoes. I had my feet kicked up on a table during sunday brunch, which is big with the service industry in my city, and was approched by three different women this month because of their purple camo slippers. The are on the expensive side but I got mine 80% off on Gilt and they tend to run on there every couple of months. I feel slip-ons give you a casual look, but puts you leagues ahead of the dudes in sneakers and flip flops. The website is www.deltoroshoes.com . Do not wear these with no socks. Go to Mocc socks and buy a pack of no show loafer socks. Its getting hot and nobody wants to smell feet in the summer.

Man, I have really been interested in fashion lately. These were posted up on GQ awhile ago, and they look fucking sick.

Only downside is that they are 290$'s, which is definitely on the higher end of cost for sneakers.

Those are pretty nice. I was actually thinking of buying a pair of those kind of sneakers in black.

I rock Common Projects. Also have a pair of the Prada Americas cup sneakers which I love. all expensive but spending money on shoes is worth it.

My gray Adidas shoes are actually lighter and have dark navy stripes instead of white. Will post a pic when I get to a computer. Yeah, I like these and a few girls have commented on them. I never see anyone wearing them. I like old school Chucks, but you see them EVERYWHERE.

I had to do it. Switch out the white laces for black on the black pair and youre good to go. I don't think I can go wrong with either these or my Adidas. Anyone notice a difference between high top and low top Chucks? I might have to exchange them for high tops because they feel funky.

Suede brogues. You can dress up or down in them and are really versatile in a neutral colour. I bought a pair that I am stoked with from asos for $60

My current all purpose casual

Considering getting something brighter/flashier for more relaxed environments, 'cause I like bright lively colours, and it stands out in the crowd

And of course, the smart casual look I've been leaning towards lately includes a pair of brown loafers and a pair of black loafers.

What I'd like to get for smart/causal

(Not necessarily those particular shoes, but those styles/colours are pretty close to what I'd like)

Just some ideas for you.
