Twitter is now in bed with two forces that will make it increasingly hostile for us: money and SJW's. The former will probably do us in faster since corporations don't want to advertise where there is "misogynist" speech present. Give it 5 years, but Twitter will eventually have the moderation ethic of Reddit.
I may be naive but I don’t think censoring anyone is part of Twitter or Facebook’s game plan.
Across the board, the tech giants (Google, Apple, MS, Facebook, and Amazon for sure; Twitter just
barely qualifies; Reddit isn’t anywhere close) envision themselves becoming utilities someday. They want to be as essential and interwoven into daily life as telephone, cable, or gas companies. That’s their endgame, that’s when their valuations would really go through the roof, and they’ll never get there if they make a habit of banning users for saying mean things about women and blacks.*
More likely, I think this just shows a vulnerability in their moderation methods. When some threshold of users report a given post, the paid mods—
mostly English-speaking Filipinos—decide whether the reported content merits action. Since these mods work with almost zero direct oversight, I’m sure they’ve been told to err on the side of overreaction and suspend/delete anything that’s even borderline.
But notice that while these platforms are trigger happy with suspensions, they almost always let the user back on. Roosh has been bounced from Facebook however many times, but they let him back because a utility, by its nature, has to be open to all. (This is why Twitter doesn’t ban its many excellent porn accounts; I recommend
Booty God.)
Times like this, I wish RvF had a private forum for repped members. It would be interesting to coordinate a campaign to get Randi Harper suspended from Twitter, at least temporarily. I got a dollar that says if 50 of us gang up and wait for the right moment, it’s not very hard to do.
* The exception to this is Chuck Johnson, who pissed off so many people on Twitter he got written up in the
NYTimes—a real fly in the ointment, and he
still wasn't banned till he posted something that vaguely resembled a death threat. A workaday white nationalist like Heartiste isn’t so visible, and I can’t believe Twitter itself would risk the backlash of targeting him or anyone like him.
P.S. - My preferred eye wash...
God bless you, Dov Charney.
P.P.S. - Now that I've seen the photo that got them banned (see post below) I'm even more sure of this assessment. It's a kid getting raped at gunpoint. No surprise that  Angelica  in Makati thought it was suspension-worthy, and I doubt it mattered that the people reporting Heartiste and Mike are in fact some of the foulest typists on Twitter.
