Cops murder people every day? I think you're being dramatic with that claim. Do you have any statistics?

SInce you brought up murder: Does this mean you concede that, "police harass, shoot, beat, [but do not] murder innocent people every day...Why shouldn't we scrutinize them?"

Because I'm not going to have a convo with someone who isn't intellectually honest.

Recording police activity should be a constitutionally protected right. If corroborating testimony from a third party confirms that a police officer confiscated a phone or video camera, he should lose his badge.

The general American mentality is that of always praising the cops..."a few bad apples in the bunch" type mentality.

It obviously can't be quantified how many are good/bad, but there are more bad than most of society is willing to admit. Of course there are good ones too. I've lived in several American cities (some big, some mid-sized) and the cops in big cities seem to have more real crime to worry about at least. As soon as you get into a suburb or wealthy part of town, they can might as well be a small town police force.

Keep in mind, a cop can kill someone and say the guy was a threat...that the suspect pointed a gun at him but ended up being a cell phone. Also, no matter how bad the economy is, there is always more money to expand police forces and jails. Always.

Of course they should be scruntized and held to the same standards as the civilians they have sworn to protect, and moreso because they are living embodiments of law and order; but postulating cops go around murdering innocent people everyday because that's how their dicks get hard is a bit much, in my opinion.

I am absolutely disgusted by some of the views held by members of this forum.

That's what chicks do. They stomp their feet and talk about being OFFENDED!

Do you have some logical points to make or are you just gonna talk about how disgusted you are?

It's not like anyone posted a picture of a guy taking a shit on a living room carpet.

If you disagree with a point, let's hear your rebuttal.

Most cops are power hungry assholes that get off on fucking with people, writing retarded tickets and slapping handcuffs on them. They are basically paid bullies that can do whatever they want. The best thing to do is just avoid them if yyou can. Don't make eye contact, don't try to be friendly, nothing.

I wonder what happened to this one

I worked for a criminal attorney as a legal clerk. He spent a good amount of time proving defendants innocent by showing the cop was lying. I've seen straight up lies in so many court testimonials. Planted evidence, made up arrest charges, illegal searches, etc.

I've even had cops try so hard to arrest me for a DUI after one beer. They were saying such bullshit like they could smell the alcohol on me and trying to fuck with me during the whole drunk test. They were condescending as fuck too. This is in addition to all fucking speeding and parking tickets over the years.

I don't like seeing people die, but so many assholes I've dealt with over the years in LA makes it really hard for me to give a shit. Especially, when you had a chance to compare it against other countries' police.

Well my thoughts on cops are mixed.

While it's good to say fuck the police at times, at least we have some sort of protection system. We'd be totally fucked without them.

Yet, I do not like the false sense of superiority that officers tend to have. And what sucks more cock is that the media will portray them in a better light than the innocent bystanders and stuff that they kill at times.

Officer Jenny shot dead while on duty= 50 funerals and charities for the family to help them mourn their loss. Free T-Shirts saying "WE MISS YOU OFFICER JENNY" will come in sizes Small to American.

Regular person shot dead by the police = Onto to this weeks weather forecast!

If you want a big funeral, there's nothing keeping you from spending your money to prepare to have the same. San Francisco's Green Street Mortuary still has the permits (grandfathered in) to have a brass band parade to accompany your pallbearers in your funeral procession down a good chunk of the city if you want. It's always been popular with locals.

Likewise south of San Francisco there is Colma, a city of nothing BUT graveyards. You'll find some huge ass monuments there, as well as in Mountain View Cemetery in Oakland. There are funeral monuments larger than most people's homes.

There isn't some magic formula that only police officers have. It's just money. You get what you pay for, and they have paycheck deductions that pay into an insurance fund to pay for people's day off from work while in uniform as part of their funeral benefit. I have no doubt if I were to go to mechanical turk or some other insta-work site and offer $100 to each person that dresses in black and mourns at a funeral for a day I would easily get 1000 responses too.

Me, I'd add a dozen women wailing in a keen to my procession.

There's been a small rash of correctional officials, prosecutors and cops getting killed-- I'm counting about 6 in the last two weeks.

This sort of unnerves me, in the 20th century cops were off limits even for the Italian Mafia as far as I know.

There's been a LOT Of "gubmint sucks" complaining in the media and on forums, I'm wondering if this is making people feel more free to off cops.

I do NOT think it is a good idea when criminals start to feel safe offing cops.

People who don't want the USA's lw enforcement situation to be a chaotic shithole like Mexico
will look negatively at this stuff.

I don't know what you are smoking. I and thousands of others were rooting for Chris Dorner. Not sure what it is, but a lot of people hate the increasing police state in the USA, so that may be it.[...]

New York cops randomly stop and frisk whomever the fuck they want.

how long before NYPD pigs start taking the Chris Dorner treatment ???

I talked myself out of a ticket the otherday. 230 bucks it would have cost me for walking beside the train tracks. Guy was nice, I shook his hand after he let me go.

By contrast, I used to carry an ASP late in high school because I worked wedding functions late downtown. Also, three of my buddies got mugged by this group of Lebanese dudes in two isolated incidents. Cop puffed out his chest, questioned me, intimidated me, took my asp away and was just being an asshole even though I was being very polite.

So fuck the latter cop, and props to the former.
