Covid in my house again

My husband had it a year ago, but none of the rest of us got it... now my 11-year-old son has it. He's been congested and headachy for a few days; then today he became tired. He reported feeling "dizzy" earlier today, too; that's the symptom that got me to take him in. I thought it was maybe a sinus infection, but they tested him as a precaution, and, voila.

Well there is a contagious flu strain going around that we’ve been denied developing herd immunity towards so it isn’t surprising if someone you know gets it. I wouldn’t worry, I had it I got sick and I got better it wasn’t any worse than any other flu just had odd symptoms, my father had it and had no symptoms at all and stayed with me while he had it. The fact that your husband had and you guys are fine is a good indicator as your son has those same genetics obviously. My aunts family 3 of them got it and they all got it really bad, but they have all kinds of underlying health issues from their dads side of the family….diabetes mainly so makes sense.

There will always be a new strain of flu, this may be a highly contagious one but it’s still just a flu strain.

Did you treat him with anything? Ivermectin?

Parents taken into hospital tonight. Dad has it supposedly and mom is better. She is tough. Everyone pray. I understand if it’s their time, it’s their time. But of course I don’t want anything to happen to them. Dad has pneumonia as well. I’m not flipping out cause it could be one of numerous respiratory viruses. I’m praying. But my leftist sister well that’s another story. I told her no vent under any circumstance.

I keep reiterating but get a doctor to give them ivermectin. Also good: NAC, aspirin, famotidine, doxycycline, and vitamin C. Skip remdesivir and all that garbage. Seems like a lot of people on the forum are now having relatives who are getting sick, unlike with Covid the first time around. Your parents were not vaccinated, right?

No vaccine. I talked to my dad and he said no way is he getting it and his doctor agreed with hum and mom is on the same page. The problem is I’m currently away from home and sister is there keeping me updated. I work nights so even on my off days I’m up all night. I’m waiting for her updates. Now they won’t let mom go cause when she sleeps her oxygen drops. Well she snores loud so obviously her oxygen will be affected. But she has always been like that. I guess my mom is not happy she can’t go home. She is old school. Everyone who complains about not feeling good is weak to her. She is probably rolling her eyes at what they say. She thinks most Americans are lazy. She is correct. But then again she is a freak of nature. She got a root canal with no numbing. She didn’t want that crap in her. She fought with the dentist and won. They were shocked. She can really handle pain. Dad however, not as strong as my ox of a mom!

I'm sorry, friend. Praying for you and your folks.

My whole family had it, seniors, the young, the immune-challenged. Nothing-burger. Like the flu as others said., but we've had worse. Over and done.
My 90-year-old aunt in the nursing home had it. An uncle with congestive heart failure had it. An aunt with COPD had it. Two more relatives in their early 70s had it. Numerous cousins from twenties to sixties have had it. Not one hospitalization. Not one death. Some had no symptoms, a few felt pretty bad for a few days.
