Criticisms of Coronavirus narrative and policy

You distorted what I wrote.

You also missed the point.

It is not about attacking Dr. Faucci or protecting him. It is about being honest about data and using it to inform good conservative policy.

You should put up some stupid basic math and logic to support your argument. Then, I will correct it for you.

To an earlier posters comment related to what he/she “has seen” in terms of colds. Go read about a concept called psychological distance and risk perception and then lets chat.

There are 7.5 billion people on the planet. There are 10 million global cases if you believe google. That is .001 of the global population. The reproductive rate of the disease has has decreased due to changes in human behavior.

FWIW I have had 4 people that I am friends with die from the disease, and they all had underlying conditions. Also, in my line of work I have seen the patients and personally know some of these high power health figures. I do not agree with much of what they have said and the blatant lies were unacceptable and criminal. I believe that we should open it all back up and let the fatties, asthmatics, and diabetics perish. Good riddance.

Some of you sound like a bunch of incels whining about how you can’t get a girlfriend when you talk about globalist elites. You might as well send your cash directly to Alex Jones (an elite worth 10 million dollars) instead of buying whatever powder he has been promoting on his show. Instead of bitching about being an “elite,” you should focus your energy so that you can become powerful, so that you have a greater impact on the system.

Corinthians 13:4-6 Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast, it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful, it does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth.

How kind of you.

Speaking for myself, I'm well aware, both academically and IRL, how it works when one decides to take risks. You're also taking this subject personally and my guess is because of your area of interest for your career.

So why don't you drop the posturing and explain why anyone should take this thing seriously anymore?

Call us incels and hide behind Scripture to mask the fact you're attacking us. Nice play. Not.

Not posturing. Making a case to be concerned. Not scared, but assessing the risk for what it is and make a better plan. By taking their is no risk / threat position is stupid and not fact driven. It is a much better position for us to be leaders and make a unified plan. That could be to:

1. communicate age specific risks effectively
2. make available the proper* ppe for those at high risk (exposure and harm risk)

Now this is US specific. Other countries have done much better, some have done much worse. Per capita, we are in the middle somewhere in terms of performance. Ignoring facts on covid is like ignoring facts on black on black crime. The US is leaderless on covid and the data shows it.

Not to be a douche but your posts don't really belong on this thread. It's nice that this thread isn't an echo chamber but coming from someone who had this fake plague (yup it was just a bad cold with a nagging cough) in February it's pretty obvious that unless you are very unhealthy or very elderly you really don't need to worry about a thing.

Only a Radical Liberal/Leftist and/or Globalist shill writes and thinks like this. Clearly, this thread got you triggered and riled up.

The sooner us fellow conservatives and libertarians start to use science and facts as a weapon against the libtards, the sooner we will have greater power on these issues. Liberals have hijacked the narrative on COVID, the have also hijacked academia’s narratives, and most federal and state public health agencies. COVID and how we respond to it can align with conservative ideologies. Many people in this forum bash these people, instead we should be spending our time trying to figure out how we can get more people who are like minded into influential positions in public health, medicine/academia, and technology. Obviously, this is all easier said than done. But, we are not going to be victorious in the culture war if we keep bullshitting ourselves on the covid battlefield. If DoD has banned travel to a US state, then rest assured its not some bullshit covid conspiracy.
How can we “get more people who are like minded into influential positions”? For starters, we can stop bashing postsecondary (and postgraduate) education in general and those “useless liberal arts subjects” in particular. We can stop insisting that EVERYBODY go into a “trade”, or at best a STEM subject (which some people think can be learned—even for career purposes—from any sketchy online program). Look at the people who run society’s most powerful institutions; what are their credentials? Like it or not, those are the credentials some of us and/or our children must get before people like us can began any “long march through the institutions” of our own.

Record covid cases due to adding "probable cases" - guess hospitals can put out a finger out of the window and then just add 500 new cases in their county.

This story shows the absolute absurdity of the lockdowns. 140 hair cut customers were seen and treated in close proximity by 2 hair stylists who "had coronavirus." They spent perhaps half an hour in close proximity with the person repeatedly touching them, walking all around them, violating the silly physical distance rule of 6 feet for extended periods. And not a SINGLE customer caught coronavirus.

I don't have physical contact with a single human more than once a week because of this insane lockdown, and yet people who were in close proximity for half an hour or more with "infected" persons are totally fine. They're going to have to introduce something new to scare us if they want this to continue.

How can we “get more people who are like minded into influential positions”?
"The best thing that can ever happen to white people is the destruction of the Republican Party" - Eric Striker

As long as the only alternative to an affirmative action Democrat is a neocon Republican, there will never be like minded people holding power in any institution. In fact, I consider the Republican Party more dangerous than the Democrats.

Former Bush official Jack Goldsmith and his co-author Andrew Keane Woods describe exactly how the deep state will use Covid-19 to enhance and consolidate the trend of internet censorship that began in the wake of the 2016 Presidential election.

Covid-19 has emboldened American tech platforms to emerge from their defensive crouch. Before the pandemic, they were targets of public outrage over life under their dominion. Today, the platforms are proudly collaborating with one another, and following government guidance, to censor harmful information related to the coronavirus. [The Atlantic]

As with all crises, Covid-19 has been used to push previously uncrossed boundaries of censorship. One example of note is the proposed censorship of the “Wayback Machine.” The Wayback Machine is a device that archives the history of the internet so users can access deleted sites, ensuring internet transparency and accountability.

As mainstream websites were forced to delete any information on Covid that conflicted with the ever-changing narratives of the so-called “health-experts,” internet users were taking to the wayback machine to access this deleted information.

A university in Ohio is requiring all students to obtain COVID tests either at home or at the university upon arrival. If the university does not like the documentation given with your first test result at home, you will be ordered to re-test on site at the university. Students who test at the university upon arrival will be required to "self-isolate" in their over-priced dorm rooms for several days while they await test results. Any student who tests positive must stay home or go home even if they live in another state/region of the country.

Don't like it? Sorry, you don't have any options. By the way, tuition here is about $45,000 per year.

Queue the Orwellian quote:

"[...] this program is an essential measure we must take to try to curtail the spread of the virus on campus."

The article says both the stylists and customers were wearing face masks. Perhaps they worked?

Seriously? Study claims riots SLOW spread of coronavirus
'People who are not going to protest are staying away'
A new study finds, contrary to conventional wisdom, that the Black Lives Matter protests may have slowed the overall spread of the coronavirus in many American cities.

While bringing thousands of people together, the protests may have caused many more people to stay home, concluded the research team, the Colorado Sun reported.

The study, which has not been peer-reviewed, was published by the National Bureau of Economic Research. In the introduction, however, the authors note the views are their own.

The authors are Dhaval M. Dave, Andrew I. Friedson, Kyutaro Matsuzawa, Joseph J. Sabia and Samuel Safford.

"While it is almost certain that the protests caused a decrease in social distancing behavior among protest attendees, we demonstrate that effect of the protests on the social distancing behavior of the entire population residing in counties with large urban protests was positive," they write.

Friedson, a University of Colorado at Denver professor, said the protests may have slowed the overall spread of the coronavirus in cities where there were large demonstrations.

"We think that what’s going on is it’s the people who are not going to protest are staying away," he told the Sun. "The overall effect for the entire city is more social distancing because people are avoiding the protests."

Friedson, whose specialty is economics, said the team used official coronavirus case counts and various other streams of data.

He told the paper the nation needs such information to make decisions.

Many state and local officials have been requiring people – or at least pleading with them – to avoid large gatherings such as sporting events, concerts and church services. But many of those same officials have been fully in support of the protests.

And they are concerned that COVID-19 cases are spiking in some places.

Ian Dickson of the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment told the Sun the state has seen increases in cases recently. But there's no apparent link between the protests and coronavirus case numbers, he said.

The review examined data from about 315 American cities with populations of at least 100,000. There were protests or riots in 281 of those cities.

"The researchers found that protests correlated with a net increase in overall stay-at-home behavior in cities where they occurred — and the increase was larger in cities that saw more sustained protests or reports of violence," the report said.

While the COVID case growth "slowed" where there were protests, the results are not statistically significant, the Sun reported.

Friedman pointed that that if the protests help reduce the COVID cases because people "decided to avoid" the public, there's still a concern, because people don't go out of their way to avoid other events or large gatherings.

Dont get sidetracked by 5g connection. That will get people bogged down. Although 5G will be helpful in a broader control measure. But first we have to investigate this "new" virus closer. The real goal was to roll out tight top down controls. This will give way to more things. Look up the following PDF that was published by the Rockefeller Foundation called SCENARIOS FOR THE FUTURE OF TECHNOLOGY AND INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT Note: It was PUBLISHED IN 2010 .. you can see the scenarios of which way the world could go in the future. Page 16 shows those four different ways. Then they write how each of those ways can be brought into fruition. They obviously have chosen the first scenario on the list called Lock Step, and then waited to roll it out here in 2020. On Page page 18 they write how the first scenario can be implemented. read it.. and get back to me. ... Coincidence? you will say wow. Look up that document. Also watch utube THE ROOSTER IN THE RIVER OF RATS improved volume Doctor goes through the research papers that are suppose to show how they claimed we have a "new" flu virus. Was the proper procedure followed to isolate a 'new' virus? they would need something new. Although there have been some nasty years of Sars Cov1 but harder to issue a pandemic warning and have worldwide shutdowns for something that has already been out for 17 years.
what is interesting is that we have had bad flu seasons in the past and alot of people have died. Just wasn't a media spectacle in the past. So we are not use to hearing about all the death that occurs every year. ALOT of people die.. Media can choose any year they want in a coordinated effort to create mass fear. Not hard when you discover that a small group of ultra wealthy control over 90% of the t..v , radio, and newspapers and the social media platforms. Most people don't know that over 3 million die every year of respiratory related illness. How many can they pick out of that number and simply classify as a CV 19 death. And how many heart attacks can they reclassify as a CV19 death if the person has some respiratory illness. The hospitals were being advised to list as Covid death even if the clear cause of death was something else. That will boost numbers. Here is another video that hits alot of points .. Shows how the propaganda main stream news was saying how hospitals were overwhelmed with lines of people. But hospitals were practically empty during the height of the fear. Saw with my own eyes. And was informed that half the staff was temporarily laid off. Anyway , this guy puts alot of good things together in one video. There is a somewhat Funny part at the ends with an animated B i l l G a t es telling you what is really happening. https://www.bitchute.com/video/6IRRqMUiwFXr/
oh,, and if you are not up on g a te s' resume.. just utube search I WAS TOO EASY ON BILL

The riots with hundreds of thousands congregating slowed the woke virus, but hair-salons quicken it, because hairdressers are disgusting capitalist pigs. Walmarts and giant conglomerations are essential services and thus are not affected by the woke virus except when they want to close meatpacking plants and exchange those into nutritious cricket- and mealworm-protein farms.

It´s a perfect woke and international-corporate-friendly virus that hates any small business, any protest against lockdowns, schools, normal socializing. But it´s a virus that supports hundreds of millions marching for communist goals.

Flatten the curve! BLM! Down with the capitalist pigs! Long live the biggest good capitalist companies!

JJ Abram´s Bad Robot with his new anti-white-supremacy manifesto, because obviously anyone not a BLM-covid-commie is a white supremacist.
