Do we really believe that men are raped just as often as women? Does that match up with the experiences of your eyes and ears? We're quick to dismiss the CDC when they claim 1 in 5 US women are raped.

I have no trouble believing men are raped at at least as high a rate as women. But if we were to try and use that point in a policy debate, it just falls flat because the perpetrators of rape are predominantly male.

I don't think it's "revenge rape". I think they just like rape. That's like asking "Why would you risk jail time mugging someone for $100 when you could work instead?". They're fucked in the head, they're bored, they like raping straight dudes, who knows?
