Debate: Cenk Uygur vs Dinesh D'Souza

Thanks for linking this. For a few days I was watching TYT to get an alternate view and balance out all the right wing stuff I watch. However it quickly became apparent that Cenk and the rest of his staff are exactly as you've described in your opening post, whether they are debating or simply covering a story. So as far as getting leftist viewpoints, I have settled on The Rubin Report (who had D'Souza on recently) and the Pakman show (he used to be on TYT, I think). I'll watch this debate when I get home, D'Souza was very good on The Rubin Report.

The Rubin Report is brilliant, love that guy but Pakman blew it for me when he did an obvious bait and switch with Vox Day. He asked Vox on for a Gamergate interview then spent the whole time trying to destroy him personally with nonsense about his views on marital rape and race issues.

I didn't know Vox and had only heard some of the shit spread about him so it was good to see him swat away the attacks and find out that he's a decent guy. Pakman though is slippery.

Agreed mate, the Rubin Report is brilliant. I sing its praises wherever possible. Dave's a proper liberal in the classical sense, not a progressive/regressive.

Yeah haven't been watching Pakman for long, but have been loving his takedowns of Reza Aslan. Interesting about that thing with Vox Day, I never heard about it. Vox Day is someone I've been reading for maybe 5 years now, probably longer and who I have a lot of respect for. I will have to go and find it.

Cenk, heh.

His type is nothing new and I'm sure most here know that.

When he gets worked up with his 'superiority' and anger, you realize he's pretty much the same as those that were in power during the Russian revolution and communist reigns. His ilk is the same as Castro and the Cuban revolutionaries, the same as Pol Pot and his minions.

That's why they're so eager to line up those that disagree with them against the wall. In their black hearts they only have hate and, quite often, a wish of death for their opponents. It's all emotion devoid of rational thought for the most part.

However, in a republic like ours, they can't follow through on their insanity, so they're relegated to spouting off their vitriol like the clowns that they are on TV/radio, etc.

Once you understand them and the fact they've been around since at least the French revolution, they're about as interesting and mysterious as a block toilet is to a plumber.

Dinesh D'Souza spouts utter garbage.

RT's Caleb Maupin calls him out.

This guy just released a movie depicting Andrew Jackson as a horrible racist.

DJT put President Jackson's portrait back in the oval office. I don't think Dinesh did his homework.

Cenk should avoid debating intellectuals as it exposes his power levels as nothing but being trying to smear his opponent with made up garbage. After seeing him "debate" Sam Harris for 5 minutes I lost interest. He gained his popularity legitimately by being in the YouTube game early on and attacking George Bush for his incompetence. At that time, it was hard to disagree with his show because he was rightly exposing him. After Bush left his show had to stand on their own intellectual merit and despite getting worse they became bigger as YouTube viewers grew to have a mainstream audience. The clearly peaked in 2016 with the Trump saga coverage and now all they do is smear him constantly. I'm actually amazed at how frequently they target him. It's not an exaggeration to say TYT uploads an inane anti-Trump video every 4 hours, without fail. I only watch them to watch them get triggered and melt down because it's hilarious. Watch the latter part of their 2016 general election coverage if you want a good hearty laugh.
