I saw and photographed signs in US airports around 2020 touting this face-scanning airline system.
The system didnt / doesnt exist yet in the US, but the official signs were made up and over in a storage area. You better believe it is coming.
I saw a similar thing in my local grocery story during the covid lockdowns. Weeks before there was any lockdown or masking, I saw the reverse side of a sign, poorly covered up, was printed with the "MASKS ARE REQUIRED TO ENTER" warning on them, and sure enough, a month later, they revealed these signs and masks were required to enter.
So you will one day soon scan your face to fly in the US. The sad thing is, it will be seen by many as an improvement over having to deal with a TSA agent (I almost agree that it is less orwellian) so it will be readily adopted with little to no complaints.
If for some reason it's not readily adopted, they'll just let you do something you could always do before on a plane, like keep your shoes on, and compliance will shoot up to 99.9%. Again, this was all tested during covid. Give you back some small freedom, while still being repressive, and the people will comply. Perhaps that was the whole point of the lockdowns anyway, to test us for rolling out systems like this and figure out the best ways to get full compliance.

Dunno if you heard about our Freedom Convoy we had in Canada last year... but when I read that the Government was considering removing the license of the Truckers who took part of it... I said to myself how would they know?
Surely most of them would've covered their plates & company #... and there's no way the Popo was equipped to tag them all... so that's when I knew they tagged everyone via face recognition @ that event. Plus they temporarily froze the assets of some who donated... probably to identify the Patriots!!

This year, a whole city called Finoland has grown up at the Finopolis forum with its bank, supermarket, metro, museum, hospital and business center. A young IT specialist Dmitry agreed to take a walk with us through Finoland and test many banking services.
1. Digital Ruble
Forum visitors were the first to test the digital ruble in action. Everyone could open a digital demo wallet in the mobile application of the "almost real" Finoland Bank and carry out various operations: convert rubles from a non-cash account, transfer to other participants, replenish the wallet and, of course, pay for purchases.
It turned out to be easy to earn money in Finoland: rubles were accrued for completing simple competitive tasks, passing mini-quizzes, or even just like that, as a greeting (more on this below).
Here is a screenshot from Dmitry's wallet. Our hero purchased a real T-shirt, a notebook and a thermo cup from PSB on the demo of digital demorubles.
The real, not "demo" digital ruble will appear in 2023. And already at the forum, VTB Bank presented a prototype of a service for opening and replenishing a digital wallet, as well as transfers of digital rubles between individuals in the VTB Online mobile application.
2. FACE ID
Face Id technology (face identification) is a common thing for Finoland and comes across at every step. Even at the entrance, visitors were "recognized" by biometrics and at the same time their body temperature was determined.
At the Atronic biometric terminal, having passed the Face Id, it was possible to "just like that" replenish the demo wallet for 100 digital rubles. Such terminals stood at each stand, so our hero's wallet was constantly replenished.
At the Finoland transport hub, with the help of biometric technologies, it was possible to "pass" passport control and "board" the plane.
Special attention deserves the stand of the Moscow Credit Bank. At the counter with the speaking name "for a person", the age and mood of the visitor were determined with biometric data. Dmitry was "counted" almost perfectly - they added only one year.

6. FinTaxi.
What is a city without a taxi? So Finoland has a virtual "taxi of the future". Dima, of course, tried himself as a racing taxi driver and earned the coveted digital rubles.
8. SBP [quick payment system] in the subway.
After taking a taxi and walking around Finoland on foot, Dmitry also decided to "ride" in the subway, where he encountered a new service. VTB, together with the Moscow Metro, demonstrated payment for a trip using a QR code through the SBP. To do this, you need to generate a QR code in the metro mobile application and attach the phone to the turnstile.

Moscow received certificates of compliance with international standards ISO 37120 [expired 30April 2022] "Sustainable community development - indicators of urban services and quality of life" and ISO 37122 "Sustainable cities and communities – indicators for smart cities".
The ISO 37122 standard was approved quite recently, and Moscow has successfully passed certification according to it among the top 10 cities in the world.
Experts evaluated 80 indicators in the main sectors of the urban economy, reflecting the effectiveness of the introduction of "smart" technologies to improve the quality of life of citizens.
Why is this important?
Because a smart city is not about the future, but about today. We talked about this at the Smart Cities International Forum, which was held in Moscow at the end of May.
And, of course, obtaining an ISO certificate is not an end in itself, but simply an ongoing assessment of the work of the city authorities on the implementation of SmartCity technologies, which does not stop there.
