In the developing world, the lows are lower and the highs are higher, but if you want to say who got it better, then you need to qualify it with what you think is a good life. And that's not an easy answer. It isn't romantic to die from untreated river sickness at 30 years old. On the other hand, neither is being a miserable drone who dies in an old folks home abandoned by everyone.I lean towards thinking that Westerners have a too romantic view of their own situation.</blockquote>
