Dumping the Smartphone

I have never owned a smart phone (I'm not intending this to sound snobish). There were times in my life I played a lot of video games and surfed the Internet, in part due to illness but also to escape my home life. As a teenager, I forced myself to not play video games, and use the Internet less, and be more social. I knew I'd be messed up socially in the future unless I stopped. I'm weary of things that could take me back to those darker times, so I just never got one. If I had had a smart phone as a teenager, I would be a complete social mess now.

I feel like at some point you'll need one to function in society, but so far I haven't had any problems. I still have my very old flip phone, and I admit I feel embarrassed to use it in public. It's such a dumb thing to feel embarrassed about.

I did get an iPad a about 5 years ago. The battery doesn't work unless it's plugged in, so I just use it at home. I don't have data or whatever it's even called to connect to outside the home anyway. I have mixed feelings on the iPad. I like that I can read books on it, and it's cheaper than a computer, but I have wasted a lot of time surfing the Internet on it.

In my last solo trip a few years ago , i took the decision to put my smartphone into pilot mode once I got into the excursion van .

I was spending all day looking around at the nature and used my smartphone as a camera. So in other words , i should have had a camera.

The benefits of not being addicted to whats'app group and to report live on what you re doing (thanks god I do not have social networks) are amazing. You feel in control of your day ,and have MANY MORE HOURS to do normal things.

I wrote a little datasheet about the damaging effects of the radiation coming from these devices, first post on page 3 of this thread:

also there's electromagnetic chaos eliminator that you can tag on it! Will reduce the radiation that you suffer from it!

Unfortunately, these don't work. You can easily check that with a microwave radiation meter. I recommend the acousticom 2, it's cheap, small, accurate and covers a very broad range (200 MHz to 8 GHz).

Bluetooth radiation is significantly less powerful than cellphones almost by definition: you're comparing a device with a range of miles to one with a range of 6 feet or so.

It travels less far but it's actually far more intense. Hold a microwave meter up to a bluetooth device and you will hear the meter screaming like it does with no other technology. To think that I put bluetooth headphones in my ear... right next to my brain... for several years is scary.

Tin foil will not stop the radiation.

Yeah one layer won't, but 3 to 6 layers will do the trick. Just wrap it a few times.

What kind of tinfoil? Reynolds Wrap doesn't do shit lol. Get the Aluminum sheets from Home Depot or Lowe's, they have them in 1x1 feet or 1x2 feet measurements. Will work for covering walls and places where radiation or frequencies leaks in or out, like a breaker box, or coax outlet. For your head, use a space blanket, for when you sleep, which is the most important time of the day to not be irradiated.

Also never had a (((smartphone))) but have used one that was not in-service for apps.
