Dutch farmers protest

There is a good article by Steve Hanke in the NY Sun. He is a bit of a boomer, but probably among one of the most empirical economists.

Full article: https://archive.is/MQvBp

He briefly outlines the situation in Sri Lanka, which was caused by banning synthetic fertilisers and pesticides, which in turn caused a dramatic fall in food production.

For a not particularly developed economy, that is quite a hit.

But the death knell came when Sri Lanka embraced modern moenrty theory (MMT).

M1 money supply doubled, and foreign exchange reserves fell by 75%, hurtling the Sri Lankan rupee high on the list of failing currencies.

These policies, Hanke says, were spearheaded by one George Soros and one Joseph Stiglitz.

I seem to remember Stiglitz was a critic of globalist policies, which he said were used as mafia takeovers of developing economies. I remember him being a guest on Alex Jones many years ago. But here he is crashing an economy himself.

You can probably guess that Stiglitz and Soros share a common ancestry.

This would suggest that Soros's obvious desire to destroy countries is not limited to white countries. It will be interesting to see if they/he continues on this path.

Ricardo Hausmann? These names make Kumargrugta think.

I can't immedietly see this trifecta operating in NL, but I guess they don't really need to when Rutte has and will continue to dance.

On a serious note, they're trying to speak with the farmers now. The goal is obvious: give the slaves a little bit, go a little bit to the mid, so that you still push through your agenda yet pacify the situation. But the farmers already said today that they're not bowing and that the worst actions until now are upon us. And make no mistake, they have really locked entire highways and get the traffic situation completely off the rails, so they're having a great impact. Also I saw serious lack of fresh food in the supermarkets lately. So this situation hasn't ended at all. I hope they don't bow as if you take the plea bargain of the gov now you've lost momentum and they'll push it through left or right in the future anyways.

Welp turns out the gov isn't going to give a tiny bit according to the farmers. Speaking on the lack of fresh food, I haven't really noticed anything about it to be fair. I've only seen a half-empty milk category at times, but besides that it's all stocked up. I suppose it's hitting the less urbanized regions a little harder though and they're keeping the Randstad all stocked so we don't notice anything (For all the non-Dutch, The Randstad is an area here where half the country resides in and basically encompasses all the main urban regions here).

Ha! I always though that Dutch was really just English with a lot of added vowels, and some rolled Rs. Now the truth is out!

He speaks more with a German accent weirdly, which is possibly the most ridiculous English accent lol. Dutch is more flat usually when spoken with a lot of gutteral G's, but especially written Dutch would be understandable at the core for an English speaker. Probably closer to English than any other language I'd say.

He's just mimicking uncle Klaus.

Maybe I missed it but didn't Canada just propose a 50% nitrogen reduction by 2030 and doing the same thing going on with the Dutch?

It won't fly, farmers are even bigger and stronger than truckers, and they're everywhere in Canada, esp in the Prairies or Canadian midwest, provinces which they practically own. The Conservatives and PPC already are leading in the polls, this is going to further boost them and put them over the edge. I'm almost happy that Trudeau is going with this mental plan, it's going to bring his whole govt down, and will set the globalists in Canada back a decade or two!

Dutch police are doing Jan 6th style arrests on Dutch farmers--researching and tracking them down days later and then arresting them.
Assaulting them would be a better word--this man may have come peacefully but was never given the option, he was just hit from behind by unidentified plainclothes police thugs and then kidnapped.

I assume the farmers can hose them down with manure and cold water.

You can not give in. You will end up like Australia where they fly drones around to spot compost heaps in people's backyards.

You can not give up.

This is what I was waiting to see. Once the government starts doing things like this, it means they're starting to get scared. The famers need to double-down, because it means the protests are working.

Victor, are Dutch normies seeing videos like this, and understanding what's going on? Do most people support the farmers, or is there only fringe support?

What a bunch of dumbo's the police are. Excuse my French. You're standing there literally defending a system that's trying to destroy all you have. The same as soldiers fighting in Iraq for the Jewish bankers. It's really a sad state of affairs how people can think they're doing the right thing, while they're purporting grave evil and eventually defend Satan's system.

The Dutch police always had a reputation of being cowards. They were clowned all the time. I'm surprised at how hard they went in on the corona demonstrators and now the farmers. Could be because they mainly are whitey and then all is allowed. No way they'd do this when Moroccan youth would rebel once again in the ghettos, then they stand their watching not doing anything.

In general police have always been evil thugs. In every country the police are an instrument of the state which is always evil. I never understood why some right wingers always looked up to the police as kind of heroes. As much as I dislike leftists I think they were onto something with their defund the police rhetoric. Bringing in more police into an area to reduce crime is a case of the cure being worse than the disease.
