Because its all posing and pestering. This is nothing new. Black, Jewish, and Latin dudes have kept the barber shop thing going. You touch down in ant city and find a Black, Latin, or Jewish heavy neighborhood and a barber will be present.

So I don't buy this "comeback" stuff. A black barbershop is to masculine and real for hipster fags to go get a hair cut in, a Jewish one likely has older staff, old ass Jew guys but they will give you the best shave of your life, a Latin one ways has women around but they are old school and feminine plus the Latin barbers will take so much detail and pride Into making sure you get the cut that you want. All these things are around. But since hipsters ain't down with real and raw stuff they go run off and recreate there Disney version of what a old school barber shop was like. The old school shops were mirrors of all the traits of the ethnic ones.

Pretty sure white guys had barber shops thousands of years ago. I'm pretty sure every society known to man has had a place where men get their hair cut.

This place offers superior haircuts with a no woman policy - and the no woman policy is new. I haven't seen other race's barber shops with a no woman policy. The no woman thing may be a bit of a gimmick - after all, women aren't likely to be going to these places - but it's simply untrue to say this is just a copycat of other barber shops when barber shops have been around for thousands of years.

Some poeple just enjoy tearing others down. "Oh, you're not a 230lb beast? What are you, a stupid hipster?"

Some people just like that so why do you feel the need to judge them. Also the bikers mentioned in the video are 100x more manly than any poster on an online forum.

When I was still in the military, the best haircuts I ever got, hands down, were from old white guys. If you want to grow it longer, sometimes the broads are better at cutting it. But forget about picking them based on hotness - too often the hottest ones aren't so hot at cutting hair.

I live in a part of the city that is about as white bread as they come. Cracker ass crackers as far the eye can see. I can think of 3 barber shops in the area that I am aware of just off the top of my head. None of which are these hipster-y type places, they are all just regular no-frills barbers.

One suburb over is a, as you say, 'Jewish heavy neighbourhood' and I haven't seen a single barber shop there. Although to be fair, I don't go there looking for a barber, just top notch food (of which there is plenty), so in all likelihood, there is at least one around, I just haven't seen it.

And now the shaved side version has been adopted by hipsters and is seen on men everywhere here, not just hipsters. I hate that shit haircut.

Of course it is a hipster place, as evidenced by the price. 33 euros for a man's haircut is just ridiculous. Average price here in Western Europe is about 15-20 euros. And I don't get it why the "no appointment" policy is a good thing. So you can wait two hours in line? There are more all male barbershops around, without the ridiculous price tag and the queue.

I do admit that the haircuts look good, these guys seem to be good barbers. And they are good businessmen as well; they would probably have a lot less customers if they didn't offer such a "premium" product with the accompanying price tag.

A few friends of mine go there, the place is known for being really good. They don't half-arse it - you will walk out with a top of the line haircut. You pay a lot because it takes some time to give you a perfect haircut like that. They take 30-45 minutes a person, so 33 euro isn't that bad.

Yes it's hipsterish, but the term is overused. This part of the hipster culture is often about being very manly (beard, tattoo's, working out, dressing well - some of the stuff we discuss here on the forum).

I remember back in the mid 2000s there was some 'reality' show on MTV that filmed in a Black Barbershop in New York. Young White Dudes in my area thought it was awesome, cause they were used to getting their haircuts by 'stylists'. Most middle class white dudes go to chains like Supercuts and Great Clips or SmartStyle (the place in WalMart).

On that reality show, they were making fun of the fact how getting a haircut is like a mathematical equation for white people. You often hear A 2 on the top, 1 on the sides while Black Barbershops have always referred to haircuts by names.

Another interesting thing is, in the Black Community you get your hair cut every 1-2 weeks, while White Dudes may go a full month between visits. That explains why you get so much more conversation, you are more familiar.

Also, the average black dude has at one point had long hair. Even still they go to the Barbershop to get a "Shape/Line/Edge Up" (term varies from city to city) to keep the hairline/sideburns crisp.

Additionally females at school will invites the guy over to her house to let them cornrow or twist their hair. This is why alot of Black Dudes are ahead of the curve game wise, being alone w/ a female in her room for 2-3 hours straight is a good experience.

I went to a different barbershop for my last cut, the guy took 80 minutes. Yep, one hour and twenty. I was actually conflicted on whether to tip or not because on the one hand he went over every square inch about 253 times, on the other hand I've got places to be! This was in spite of dropping multiple hints that he didn't need to work down guards in 1/8" increments, he could just go straight to the 1/4" for the sides. Language barrier didn't help. He charged $18, I gave him $20, he probably still lost money after paying for the chair.

I can't easily remember the last time I was as disgusted by a video as I was by this one.

These "men" are an unbearable parody of the masculinity that they pretend to aspire to. Their faces, miens, grotesque confectionary ink slapped on top of their pallid skin, and seemingly every pore of their bodies, are suffused with weakness and degeneracy. It is as if they spend an hour each morning bathing in a vat of estrogen before setting out on their wretched "barber shop" day. Many of them are also obvious shaky drunks. The inked-up models are maybe the worst of all.

These faggots say the words "fuck" and "fucking" with less right, point, and conviction than your average SJW Jezebel writer. I'd rather read 5 Anna Merlan screeds any day than listen to these tatted redditor pricks with drink in hand cant about being "decent scumbags" and talk about the "fucking great shaves" administered by their weak-faced loser trainees. And fuck their overly fluent, never-quite-native, lacking even the charm of the two Family Guy foreign dude characters English. Let them speak their own f'ing language.

It's been too long since Europeans have been in a real war. They need one, badly.

Whoa Lizard Of Oz, I believe the phrase you are looking for is "try hard". The man who cuts my hair is an old Navy vet with faded tattoos and the mandatory gold crucifix on top of old man chest hair. I think anyone whos impressed by this has not ever stepped inside a regular barber shop, I dont know. I did not see one regular hair cut or guy in the video, looks like one big movie set.
