"Empire" star hospitalized in alleged hate crime

“White dudes recognizing actors from Empire would be like black dudes recognizing actors from Vikings”. Because whites dont watch predominantly black shows and vice versa.
Some Reasons Why I Don't Believe Him
1. The attack allegedly occurred in the Streeterville neighborhood. This is downtown and is one of the most dense neighborhoods in the entire city, one of the 3 largest cities in the country. it is also one of the most heavily policed and heavily surveilled neighborhoods in the city with both private and street security cameras out the wazoo. If some black guy got jumped by a couple of skinheads or something and had a noose put around his neck while they shouted slurs and MAGA lines as if reading from a CNN teleprompter, someone would have certainly seen it and probably uploaded a vertical video to Youtube by now, especially since anyone shouting such things in the ever-crowded downtown of far left Chicago would surely draw a lot of attention. Further, an attack such as the one he described would need at least a couple of minutes to be carried out, in which time someone would have witnessed it.
2. If he had genuinely been the victim of two balaclava-wearing noose-carrying skinheads or whatever, I suspect that they would have done more than just break one of his ribs. If someone hates you enough to jump you and put a noose around your neck, they are going to break more than a single rib, especially if you are a fragile and delicate flower like this guy appears to be.
3. Who watches Empire? More specifically, what white people who don't like black people would tune in to watch a show which almost exclusively features black people frequently or long enough to learn who he is and become familiar enough with him (he doesn't even seem to play the main character) that they can pick him out of a crowd of literally millions of other black dudes in Chicago? How would these alleged skinheads or whatever they are supposed to be written as recognize him and how would they know where he would be in such a large city (unless they were just randomly wandering around Chicago with a noose which would be insane)?
4. The "genders" of the attackers are unknown? Seriously? We don't know whether or not it was a couple of females who bare-handedly whooped this guy's ass to the point that he needed to be hospitalized overnight? If this were a real violent hate crime involving a noose perpetrated by two white males in a majority black city, does anyone seriously believe that every media outlet in the entire Western World would not be jumping on it like a Hooters girl on a millionaire's dick?
5. This is Chicago. Even the white racists are liberal leftists. I very much doubt that there were two masked noose-carrying white guys wandering around on foot and alone while spouting off MAGA lines as if they were reading a CNN teleprompter and without even so much as even a knife or pistol with which to protect themselves from all the people who would easily be able to distinguish them as outsiders and who would not be pleased with their behavior or, likely, even their presence. Even if they did beat up this guy for his race, I doubt that they would shout anti-gay slurs and MAGA stuff, especially in downtown, probably the most liberal area of Chicago which is, again, a very left-leaning city.
6. It is well known that, on average, the black population in the US, particularly those who are more thuggishly inclined, does not tend to be very friendly toward LGBT people. Famous gay black guys themselves very often say as much in interviews. Since it seems that this attack, assuming it was targeted and not random, was mostly if not exclusively about his sexuality as opposed to his race, I think it is more likely that he got jumped by some black thugs who recognized him from the TV as opposed to a couple of unarmed white guys who probably have never seen Empire randomly skulking around downtown Chicago with a noose as if to say "Hey everyone around, we are the embodiment and physical manifestation of everything you hate and we don't even have a weapon to defend ourselves with so, if you want to bash the fasch, here is your chance."
7. In over 24 hours (this allegedly happened on Tuesday at 2am), the police were not able to find any images of him in which he is not just standing alone by himself on any of the many many security cameras in the area where the attack was supposed to have occurred. Given that Streeterville is one of the densest and most surveilled neighborhoods in an already very dense and heavily surveilled city, this makes me suspicious.
8. Elephant in the room: who commits virtually 100% of all the violent crime in Chicago? Random unarmed white people who are apparently so un-masculine and un-imposing that we don't even know their gender, or the other demographic that we are all thinking of?
9. Suspicious timing coinciding with a near media blackout (at least leftist media) around another big issue occurring at exactly the same time, namely that New York just legalized abortion up to the moment of birth. This seems like a manufactured distraction.
I of course cannot say for sure what happened because I wasn't there but it sounds like he is an actor primarily known for his role as a minor supporting character in a show that not many people outside of its target demographic know anything about who either got jumped by some thugs and is trying to spin it as something else in order to get himself into the spotlight where he would not otherwise likely be or he hurt himself somehow and that is why the police, despite their best efforts and all of the pressure that is surely on them, are unable to find any evidence to suggest that he was ever not standing around alone, much less being hate crimed in the downtown of the 3rd largest city in the country during the time when the clubs, bars, and other nighttime venues (each one packed with potential witnesses) start emptying out.
*Alternative Possibility: Maybe he met someone from Grindr and had a bad time but saying that he was hate crimed sounded better when the admitting nurses at the hospital asked him how his rib got broken and he is just rolling with it now.

I predict Smollett will admit it was a hoax within 24 hours and the story will be forgotten about immediately.

Probably realized he told different stories to different parties and decided to save his ass and politicized it adding "MAGA COUNTRY" for sympathy/brownie points and lessen scrutiny.
