Eschatology: Mark of the Beast, Great Tribulation, Second Coming

Problem with preterism. Is that with the coming of Christ. Every eye will see him and all believers who are dead will rise from the dead and will be raptured after his coming:

1 Thessalonians 4:15-17

15By the word of the Lord, we declare to you that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who have fallen asleep. 16For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a loud command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will be the first to rise. 17After that, we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord

There is also passages which talk about nations trying to physically hide from God once the 2nd coming is apparent. And everyone mourning and knowing that he is come at the same time.

I am not completely convinced regarding full preterism, but I do think that a very convincing argument can be made that it is the most likely scenario (if you are willing to perform the research).

The “meeting in the air” is not a literal rapture of believers, but a symbolic depiction of the final battle of Christ and the powers of darkness which oppose him and his people. It is a powerful metaphor describing what Christ and his hosts accomplish in the day of his coming, vanquishing the gods and demons which the Thessalonians feared had jeopardized their own salvation and that of their departed loved ones. At the parousia, when the angels “gather his elect from the four winds” (Matt 24:31), at their “assembling to meet him” (2 Thess 2:1), they behold the victory of Christ over Satan and the air is purified of all demonic forces.

As I previously posted, there are multiple contemporaneous historical eyewitness accounts of a great battle raging in the heavens, which occurred at the very same time that the Romans destroyed both Jerusalem and the temple (as foretold by Jesus), thereby destroying Jewish worship at the temple for all time.

There is also the historical aspect. Not only of the resurrection of the righteous. But that all the armies of the world will try to battle Jesus when he returns 2nd time around. Before being killed.

I don't think preterism can account for the prediction that when Jesus comes "Every eye will see him". Everyone will know without a doubt that its him. And that he will come in the same manner he has ascended(Acts 1). Prompting people to flee into the caves.

And then there is the 1000 year reign where people are meant to live as long as trees and people who die at 100 are considered as youths.

Unless I am mistaken, in Post #118 you indicated that you are a partial preterist, which means that you believe that all but the last three chapters of the Book of Revelation have been fulfilled. But here you cite Chapters 6 and 19, which both partial preterists and full preterists agree have been fulfilled.

I just looked through the website and I just don't find the idea of a spiritual awakening resurrection convincing. There are only 2 forms of resurrection as far as I know from my own reading of scripture. The physical resurrection of the righteous and of the wicked.

I don't see any precedent for metaphorical resurrection that is not of the body.

Some food for thought: the idea of a physical rapture never existed in the first 1800 years of Christianity, until the 1830s when John Darby suddenly discovered it. This is the same John Darby who also created the idea of dispensational millenialism, which you are espousing (which also appeared in Christianity for the first time in the mid-1800s). This is the very same doctrine that now tethers Christianity, and the United States, to modern-day Israel.

Darby has been credited with originating the pre-tribulational rapture theory wherein Christ will suddenly remove His bride, the Church, from this world to its heavenly destiny before the judgments of the tribulation. Thus the prophetic program resumes with Israel's earthly destiny. Dispensationalist beliefs about the fate of the Jews and the re-establishment of the Kingdom of Israel put dispensationalists at the forefront of Christian Zionism, because “God is able to graft them in again,” and they believe that in His grace he will do so according to their understanding of Old Testament prophecy. They believe that, while the ways of God may change, His purposes to bless Israel will never be forgotten, just as He has shown unmerited favour to the Church, He will do so to a remnant of Israel to fulfill all the promises made to the genetic seed of Abraham.

I actually believe in a rapture after the tribulation when the general resurrection of the righteous has occurred.

Theology-wise:
We Muslims take the Biblical first commandment literally and very seriously.

In Islam, worship is well defined and is only towards the God of Old Testament alone. He is also recognized as the only higher power. Men, states, political parties and etc have historically tried to deify themselves which usually does not get noticed by a lot of religious communities. Islam, opposes this deification of other than God at the very basic level of its theology. Muslims usually spot this in its development and end up under cross-hairs by these political entities.

Islamic theology would be the Antichrists first enemy.

Antichrist candidates:
China has banned the Qur'an and the Bible and has omitted the first commandment from its state approved translation of the Bible. If its not friendly to the Islamic creed, its probably not friends with Christians either.

There is a lot of surveillance and social engineering tech being developed and in use there. Cashlessness is also on the rise. There is a global trend towards cashless authoritarian surveillance states now. The mark anyone?

The Dajjal, or Al-Masih Ad-Dajjal (literally, the imposter, or the imposter messiah) has been foretold and there are interesting signs that lead to his appearance. There is a physical description (one-eyed, a mark on his forehead etc) of him along with his location of emergence and a description of the first people to follow him. He will claim divinity and lordship and will lead people away from Biblical monotheism into polytheism and into his own worship. He will also promise paradise on Earth and threaten with fire on Earth. I'll leave the italics for you to search.

Al-Mahdi (literally the guided one) is a righteous leader of Muslims. Referring back to the Theology, he is a human and will not affirm for himself rights that belong to Allah. Muslims will not follow a human leader who claims to be a god, Son of God or even (God forbid) God Himself.

Armageddon will happen before antichrist, rapture after antichrist etc, the materials are there to look and see for yourselves from the Muslims. We are more alike than different in a lot of matters.

Honestly and truthfully I expect to be dead in a year time if I keep to my faith and convictions. Some people in warm climates who live completely off grid will last longer but inside demonic EU with six month long winters you can be gone next year.

How to fight this? Remain where I am and take what's coming? Material possessions won't save you. Therefore, maybe move far away and try to enter a monastery, fight this with dedicating yourself to God? Nothing is too radical at this point. Better to act now while it's not too late.

I was getting thoughts 12 months ago that bothered me, it started to become clear the way the world was going I would be dead or in prison by 2030, I just accepted then it was inevitable.
