It doesn't surprise me. The SJW movement is primarily a left-wing Christian movement.

That's just not true.

I always thought megachurches were corporate Christianity that diluted the faith into a feel good rock show. You have some smooth talker repeating general moral platitudes with a positive spin and some bible verses for a comforting message. Old school fire and brimstone, repent at once stuff? Not allowed.

Then, you have the concert venue of a church built with the latest acoustic and lighting technology and the gigantic band and choir to produce an electric contagious emotional atmosphere that produces an extreme endorphin rush, the euphoric joy you hear so much about in these places.

That's why these places grew so big. They basically turned Jesus into a drug.

My immediate suspicion is that either his wife cheated on him or he’s finally got the SMV level to attract younger women who treat him better than she does. If it’s the former then I understand why he’s disavowed all his former beliefs, which some have called the “sexual prosperity gospel.” If it’s the latter then it’s just a case of someone who either faked his earlier stuff in the hopes of attracting a woman or maybe a guy changing his entire perspective on life as a result of having options for the first time. I don’t know enough about the guy to make an educated guess but it’s probably one of those things.

My guess is that this man has either been eroded from within by a traitorous wife, or that he's so weak that he's just throwing out all his principles on the desperate hope he'll get her back.

Take a look at what he was married to:

shannon-bonne.jpg

Hair above the chin, subversion from within as AB often said. Hoop earrings are a standing advertisement. Singer/songwriter - but not hymns. Practices yoga, believes in Enneagrams which might as well be astrology.
He married this at 22 years old, in 1998. It bore him three children somehow, and it is writing a leftie musical:

My musical is going to explore themes like identity, authenticity, gender roles and power in the conservative church.”

She’s also posted other comments that indicate a revisionism about church teachings. “Leave Fear Behind. Healthy churches don’t use fear, bullying or shaming,” she wrote. “They don’t need to manipulate behavior or manage image. Love feels: Safe. Love feels: Accepted.”

In another post, she wrote, “My fundamentalist conservative Christianity experience taught me to ignore my inner voice. It’s not possible to unpack this in one post, using one scripture or angle. But early on, I learned to distrust and override myself out of fear in an environment where those in authority held tremendous control over leaders and members. For those out there who can relate, what was your experience? Did you learn to ignore your inner voice…your mind, body or spirit?”

So
(1) either his brain's snapped from living a lie: the Bible demands he's the leader, but he's being force-fed leftie shit by his wife day in, day out. She eventually decides For HerSelf that she Can't Grow Into A Full Person Any Longer, and Must Leave Him To Find HerSelf. In a fit of rage, he blames God and just changes his self-image to resemble something she might find attractive, because his identity can't handle that she wouldn't love him as a man of God.
(2) ... or she's been successful in her mission and corroded his moral centre sufficiently to make him fart SJW nonsense all over the Net. All of us know seemingly-strong men who've been worn down over two decades by their wives until they're whipped dogs.

Which of them is right, who knows.

Most pastors have great faith in the bible until they of course get divorced.

How does anyone think that faith is a guarantee for a successful marriage?

Or that a bearing the cross means living the picket fences dream?

The divorce rate for Catholics who attend mass weekly and don't use artificial contraception is about 3%.

Just throwing that out there.

Divorce rate is primarily a function of the number of pre-martial sex partners:

But divorce rate is not what I'm after here. I was mentioning that entitlement to a perfect life, even if the Lord's plan looks different, and apostatizing the second stuff gets rough.

The Lord might have lined up a way superior replacement wife already and what does this idiot do? Renounce Him in public. You can't fuck yourself over any better than this.

Matt 13:20 The seed falling on rocky ground refers to someone who hears the word and at once receives it with joy. 21 But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away.

That's a weird way of spelling "Reform Judaism".

You are in denial. I am speaking from experience because I personally know people raised as conservative Christians who are now radical left wing SJW activists. But they are exactly the same self-righteous people, they just shuffled the symbols around - the Devil is now Trump and LGBT are the godly.

Sounds to me like his wife found out he was down-low gay and he's trying to get out in front before the media gets hold of it. I don't see how you can "fall away" from Jesus. It's not like Jesus is letting go of your hand while you're hanging over a cliff.

Genesis parodied Evangelical pastors as far back as 1991:

You see the face on the TV screen
Coming at you every Sunday
See that face on the billboard
That man is me

On the cover of the magazine
There's no question why I'm smiling
You buy a piece of paradise
You buy a piece of me

I'll get you everything you wanted
I'll get you everything you need
Don't need to believe in hereafter
Just believe in me

'Cause Jesus he knows me
And he knows I'm right
I've been talking to Jesus all my life
Oh yes he knows me
And he knows I'm right
And he's been telling me
Everything is alright

I believe in the family
With my ever loving wife beside me
But she don't know about my girlfriend
Or the man I met last night

Do you believe in god
'Cause that's what I'm selling
And if you want to get to heaven
I'll see you right
You won't even have to leave your house
Or get outta your chair
You don't even have to touch that dial
'Cause I'm everywhere

And Jesus he knows me
And he knows I'm right
I've been talking to Jesus all my life
Oh yes he knows me
And he knows I'm right
Well he's been telling me
Everything's gonna be alright

Won't find me practicing what I'm preaching
Won't find me making no sacrifice
But I can get you a pocketful of miracles
If you promise to be good, try to be nice
God will take good care of you
Just do as I say, don't do as I do

I'm counting my blessings,
I've found true happiness
'Cause I'm getting richer, day by day
You can find me in the phone book,
Just call my toll free number
You can do it anyway you want
Just do it right away

There'll be no doubt in your mind
You'll believe everything I'm saying
If you want to get closer to him
Get on your knees and start paying

'Cause Jesus he knows me
And he knows I'm right
I've been talking to Jesus all my life
Oh yes he knows me
And he knows I'm right
Well he's been telling me
Everything's gonna be alright, alright

'Cause Jesus he knows me
And he knows I'm right
Oh yes he knows me and he knows I'm right
I've been talking to Jesus all my life
And he's been telling me everything is alright, alright

Jesus he knows me, Jesus he knows, know
Jesus he knows me, Jesus he knows, know
Jesus he knows me, Jesus he knows, know

Did I miss the new red pill terms that forbid beauty and pleasant smells?

One of the greatest things about living with a woman is when she puts little touches like this around the home.

It looks like his wife has gone crazy.
They got wrecked after being groomed to take over a church that a child molesting youth pastor had screwed up bad. Lawsuits, jail time yada yada. That kind of experience will drive a woman insane.

Did I advocate for squalor, unpainted drywall, and having your mattress on the floor?

You missed the red pill that allows more things beyond lilacs and lavender to be defined as beautiful and pleasant smelling.

I have plenty of plants and flowers in and around my home, including orchids, perhaps the most dainty flower of all. I use essential oil diffusers, but I'll use sandalwood, cedarwood, or citrus scents.

I'm not against "feminine" decor, but I appreciate it in HER areas. I'm curious, does your bathroom have a flower border and do you use vanilla-coconut scented soap and shampoo? No judgment if you do. But when given a choice, most husbands prefer something more neutral and only let their wives overrun their wishes because they're completely under her thumb.

Statistically, faithful Christians who attend Church together regularly have much lower rates of divorce than either nominal Christians or secular people.
