I've found such examples demonstrably useful to show to liberal friends and family. They don't immediately flip anyone's positions, but the examples of hypocrisy plant seeds making people amenable to the possibility that lockdown policy is not just about "public health".

What are they going to do? Most conservatives have jobs and families to support. Look at what we saw this summer. Conservatives protest lockdowns and the media labels them “dangerous” science deniers and “conspiracy theorists”. The second you give them any excuse to validate their “right wing violence” narrative, CNN will report, “Far right extremists storm capital to declare Boogaloo boy nation”. My mom is a typical public employee bleeding heart liberal, no matter how much you point out this stuff to her (and she even agrees) she still always votes blue because they “care about people”. Doing “something” only validates their worldview that the “alt-right” is hiding around every corner ready to kill their “compassionate” pride flag flying leader. These people are more interested in being told what they want to hear, even if they know its bullshit. On some level I think they almost appreciate these sort of double standards because they WANT a nanny state government of limousine liberals to toss them some crumbs and pity when the world doesnt go their way. They don’t want agency over their own actions because they would have to confront their own failures. Let commandant Newsom sip his wine in Napa as long as he promises me more get out jail free cards and free depression meds.
No disrespect to your dear mother but 2 things need to happen in order for the big awakening necessary to put a stop the globalist swamp creatures:
1) Boomers dying off. This is probably another 10-15 years out given the current state of medicine/technology.
2) A global depression.
Bad news: both are pretty much baked in at this point. Worse news: by the time real generational change happens we'll all be old and gray. Good news: you may die knowing that the people responsible received their reckoning. But bad news again: A lot of innocent people will suffer as a result of the hubris of a global elite.
Nothing new under the sun by the way. This cycle has repeated itself many times during human existence. This time around we simply have better information technology. Which in a way is bad news in itself as now there is no escape from the poz.
That’s merely playing into their hands. Notice how all these modern conservative voices on YouTube and such are typically well spoken, calm, polite, and careful to cite sources (often liberal sources) even when faced with vile, ignorant, cursing and spitting leftists? Because the second the conservative slips up, their entire message is immediately invalided by the leftsist hive mind, and the “uneducated” conservative is now somehow painted as worse than the violent, cursing, disruptive leftist. Can you imagine if right wing people ACTUALLY started rising up? This is exactly what the liberal media has been feeding their cultists since Trump was elected. Here in Minneapolis our local paper has spent the entire summer trying to convince us a small group of trailer trash white supremests from Texas were the ones looting and buring liquor stores. The only way forward is to slowly knock these people down with facts and red pills. I know it works because even as mildly red pilled male in 2016 I still voted blue. I only came around to Trump in the last couple years, and its because I could no longer ignore the facts and history that contradicted what I wanted to feel about the modern liberal (or at least US democratic party/SJW) worldview.
Well that was part of the genius of Trump. He won over alot of people with his straight talk and confidence. Many people that otherwise never voted before or previously voted straight blue. It’s why I’m skeptical an establishment R candidate could win again. The narrative from the left is that Trump was a liability for the right, but I think he may have been the only person that could overcome this absurd operation by the media and all the other arms of dem influence.
When liberal hypocrisy gets exposed what happens it gets ignored, like Trudeau dressing in black face. These attacks are only to be used on the right is the lesson here. That is why the right should never pander to these things.
