Well...there may be something here in regards to lockdowns. In one group someone posted the picture of Gavin Newsome and the Mask cult was....:incensed about it. It’s not the reaction I expected and it’s an encouraging sign.

If you’re trying to wake people up I suggest starting sharing that. Not with a preachy tone but with “wow, can you believe this guy?!”

Your year sounds similar to mine - I've begun reading a lot more than before, and I've been reading many of those books and related ones as well (e.g. Anna Karenina). I hope you keep reading, and perhaps engage in the Books subforum with any reflections you have.

Thanks - yes I've been meaning to engage more with this forum in a broader sense. This place has been helpful to feel some sense of 'normal' amidst the chaos. There are so many people around me simply not questioning anything so it's great to have this kind of outlet to discuss a wide variety of topics (many of which are absolute taboo nowadays).

I also just finished the Great Gatsby and think it's highly overrated. I'll check out the books subforum soon.
