Extreme Weather thread

And so is everyone a believer now in global climate change? There is a prediction that Phoenix, Arizona will not be livable for human habitation (at least as we currently live) within around 30 years, due to increases in summer temperatures. I suppose people (those who can afford it) will live in super insulated homes, and walk around outside in what almost appear to be spacesuits.

I think Climate Change/Global Warming is the only Liberal talking point that I believe. I live in Canada and it is super hot up here, for Sept. I remember when I was a kid (many years ago) that I had to go to Elem' School with a: parka, hat, gloves and thick pants. There would be dew frozen on the grass and a weird fog everywhere. Several years later, it is literally like a sauna - Indian Summer - for the last 3-4 years.

Bunch of losers (antifa?) start fires all over the PNC and MF2050 starts lecturing about climate change

Here is part of the answer on arson. An Antifa member was picked up after reporting a fire near a highway and having a lighter in his hand, while livestreaming. Seems smart :

Antifa Radical Arrested for Arson in Washington State — Was Caught on Highway Live-Streaming on Facebook Before Arrest (Video)

"On Wednesday evening a Washington man named Jeffrey Acord called 911 to report a fire on the side of SR-167 near Pallyup, Washington.

After calling the police, Mr. Acord then set to live streaming himself to his Facebook Page. The video was later posted to YouTube. During the video you can see the police question Acord and after a period of time, the video ends as they arrest him for Reckless Burning 2nd Degree.

Jeff Acord was seen with a lighter in his hand walking on the highway earlier in the day in Sumner. According to Q13FOX — The Sumner Grade Fire in Sumner and Bonney Lake has burned more than 800 acres and was 20 percent contained as of Thursday morning..."

The climate is always changing.
The propaganda point is that the climate is a stable thing that only affected by human evil. You can go back 12,000 years and see gigantic swings in temperature that dwarf whatever we're seeing now that had nothing to do with human activity.

So "climate change" is a false narrative brought about by a rejection of science and the promotion of a communist/left wing ideals. It's taking advantage of a generation that was brought up on seemingly innocent (and often correct) environmentalism to push anti-capitalist, anti-America and pro-China policies.

It's a rejection of science because only a narrow range of data is being considered to come to one shit conclusion: America has to lower its standard of living. Replace America with Canada, same outcome. Meanwhile, 90% of emissions come from China and India, and there are no calls to declare war on those countries that supposedly are threatening the planet. If "climate change" is such a problem, then we should declare war on these Asian countries that are most of the problem. Nobody is suggesting that.

This is why climate change is a false narrative. Those who are climate change promoters are most often the worst perpetrators of environmental conservation. Such as rich Californians who are dumb and put their homes in the middle of dry timber forests and wonder why there are forest fires.

If someone is opposed to climate change and think they can stop it, they should adopt a mindset that is strongly nationalist, anti-globalcorp, and anti-urbanization. On the other hand, nearly 100% of climate change advocates are none of these things -- and are in fact, fervently in the opposite direction.

Putting aside all of these ideas,
Polluted air is no good. Obviously, we have pretty good air here in the US versus most of the third world.
The climate warming though, is definitely a good thing. Shitlibs have a pathological love of cold weather. Almost all growth in human civilization and species expansion has occurred during warming periods. If people realized how difficult it is to live on a cold planet, they wouldn't be complaining.

I seriously doubt the weather is worse than it used to be. The media tries to frame every bad weather event as "things are getting worse" with zero evidence. The climate/weather has never been this ho hum, easy thing to deal with like idiot Californians think it should be.

I wanted to respond to what you said, but FullThrottleTX already did in a way I couldn't do better

The climate is changing. The climate has always been changing. How much of the current change is man made? Hard to tell, and independent research is needed to learn more about this

However, cowering the US/world public with doom scenarios of the world ending in 13 years, spacesuits in Arizona and Manhattan under water is nothing but fearmongering to cower the people into voluntarily giving up everything they have

Fun fact as you are Canadian: the Vikings named their settlement in Newfoundland Vinland (from the Old Norse wine land)

Why did they call it Wineland? I'll leave that up to you to figure out

Are you calling Canadians whiners? Lol. :laughter:

The star at the centre of our solar system has a bigger say than some human on Earth. We can pollute the Earth and in time it will heal but before then we would die off as a species.

The sun can roast us in an instant or freeze us by dropping activity.

These heat waves are plumes from the equator, similar to what happens in winter with the polar vortex but nobody gives a shit about that because its winter and its meant to be cold. Every time some heatwave comes along for a few days or weeks these mongoloid climate changers come out saying we need to be taxed to the hilt for driving a car or truck.

The lockdown showed spectacular reductions in pollution but where did that leave the governments? They lost billions from low fuel sales as people weren't driving around as much. Even now the activity hasn't picked up so they want us to return to the big offices with huge HVAC systems and large power demands.

It doesn't add up from an environmental perspective. Its just $$$ and the carbon tax industry represents trillions of potential revenue on top of more communist-style controls through laws, rules and regulations.

Isn't that changing in cycles ? I remember as a kid in France waiting for snow on Christmas Day. It happened a few times ; but never 2 years in a row.

IDK, all my evidence is anecdotal. This week, it is finally starting to cool off a bit. But, there is smoke everywhere. Thankfully, there are no fires up here, like there have been for the past two years.

Global warming is a con of epic proportion. At this stage they resort mainly to eliminate the past, lower heat charts, avoid the truth of the medieval and roman warming periods.

There will be climate changing of course however since we have already approaching a new cold-wave that might last decades if not longer.

The so-called maunder minimum will create a very cold period - possibly even colder than during the last centuries.

And human activity has no impact on it just as it did not have any impact in the past.

Watch as Multiple concert goers get pelted by large hail at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison Colorado during a Louis Tomlinson concert multiple reports say that multiple people are seriously injured with car’s heavily damage from the large hail that fell tonight. Officials has made an announcement that they have postponed the Louis Tomlinson concert until further notice.

Nearly 100 People Injured by ‘Golf Ball-Sized’ Hail at Louis Tomlinson Concert

Nearly 100 people were injured Wednesday night when a massive hailstorm battered Colorado’s iconic Red Rocks amphitheater ahead of Louis Tomlinson’s show, according to authorities.

The West Metro Fire Rescue confirmed in a post on Twitter that seven people were transported to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries in connection to the incident.

Apart from those who required hospitalization, up to 90 people were treated on the scene, the agency said. Injuries included cuts and broken bones, it added.

The National Weather Service in Boulder issued several warnings on social media Wednesday night regarding a “significant storm” that would contain “golf ball-sized hail or larger” near Red Rocks. The agency also noted that radar technology had indicated severe thunderstorms were expected to pass over the area, urging people to take cover.

In a series of posts on Twitter, organizers of the concert initially told fans that they were experiencing weather delays and advised people to seek shelter in their vehicles before they gave an “all clear” that brought people back to the world-famous venue. About an hour later, the organizers ultimately postponed the event to a later date due to another weather delay approaching the venue, telling ticket holders to go home and to stay tuned for more information.

Tomlinson, a musician who rose to fame as a member of the boy band “One Direction,” was scheduled to perform at the amphitheater. The singer posted on Twitter that he was “devastated” by what happened at the show and hoped everyone was alright.

“I’ll be back! Even though we didn’t play the show I felt all of your passion! Sending you all love!” he wrote.

Cataclysm of Hail
Several people who attended the concert posted videos of the hail storm on social media. In one clip, a person is seen squeezed into a bathroom stall to avoid the storm.

“Our view. We were so fortune [sic] to have been able to squeeze into the bathroom before it got too cramped,” the concertgoer wrote. “I can’t imagine what all you that were stuck outside must be feeling and how you’re hurting.”

Another attendee described the storm in the caption of a video as “the scariest night of my life.” In the footage, people are heard screaming and crying as they’re sent scrambling for cover.

“It started pelting people with hail at Red Rocks and my sister and I luckily found shelter under a sign. I am bleeding and have huge bumps on my head from the hail. Hoping everyone made it out safely,” she wrote.

Tornadoes Strike Southwest
The hail storm struck Colorado around the same time multiple tornadoes were reported across several states, including Texas, where at least four people died and significant damage was caused around the town of Matador.

According to utility tracker PowerOutage.us, nearly 300,000 homes and businesses in Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma were without power as of Thursday morning due to extreme weather.

The National Weather Service in Boulder, meanwhile, also issued weather warnings Wednesday night for the Denver area and portions of northern Colorado, which included threats of tornadoes.

AccuWeather’s Tony Laubach, a storm chaser, shared a stunning video of twin tornadoes forming in Washington County, Colorado. There have not been immediate reports of damage or power outages from the tornadoes in Colorado.

Nearly 100 People Injured by ‘Golf Ball-Sized’ Hail at Louis Tomlinson Concert

Crazy! We had wild weather in the same area this afternoon, a few miles from Red Rocks. I got a warning message on my phone of possible baseball size hail, but we only got half inch hail, thank God. Most people in my office have had a car totalled from hail damage before, so a hail storm is nerve wracking.

There was a tornado south of the city from that storm cell. This hailstorm at Red Rocks was yet another big storm just a few hours later. We had big hail and lightning storms last night around 11pm as well. I saw a car stalled in the middle of a flooded intersection on the way home. Their engine probably sucked in water and blew a rod.

At least the drought in Colorado seems to be over.

Another hailstorm happened in Wyoming and Nebraska. Below video showed an insane hailstorm at a gas station in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. Around the 2:00 mark, the hail storm turned into a destructive force.

Baseball-Sized Hail Smashing Into Panels At 150 MPH Destroys Scottsbluff Solar Farm

Baseball-sized hail took out a solar farm in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, on Monday, part of a giant supercell thunderhead that moved across eastern Wyoming and into Nebraska.

The hail shattered most of the panels on the 5.2-megawatt solar project, sparing an odd panel like missing teeth in a white smile.

Wyoming has only one commercial-scale solar farm, but a second project is under construction south of Cheyenne.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency ranks this area in its the highest category for hail risk on the national index.

Don Day, Cowboy State Daily meteorologist, said the hail would have reached terminal velocity during its descent, which is the maximum speed an object will reach when falling. The hail would have likely struck the panels going 100 to 150 mph.

Looks Destroyed

The entire region has experienced strong storms the past week, which included tornadoes, hail, heavy rains and wind.

A tornado destroyed at least one home in Scottsbluff. Much of the damage to the area was from high winds and hail, which brought down power lines, damaged trees and shattered windshields.

Kevin Spencer, Scottsbluff city manager, told Cowboy State Daily the Nebraska Public Power District, which owns the solar farm, is still assessing the damage, but it’s going to need some repairs.

“Just by looking at it, it looks destroyed to me,” Spencer said.

Spencer said there’s more to a solar farm than just the panels, and so some of the equipment at the farm might have survived the storm. He said he was previously told the panels were hail proof, but that might have meant hail up to a certain size.

The video was from inside a big convenience store, and later in the video the hailstones started punching through the roof and hitting the floor inside!

I have to say though, hail like this is common in this region.
