Female F-16 pilot recounts her role on 911

This story has been going around the last couple of years - a female F16 pilot from the DC Air National Guard was ready to kamikaze flight 93 but never got her chance.

Anyone else have their BS detector go of just a little bit? Me too. Though the story says she was the second combat pilot in the air that morning, others were already scrambled from Langley and Otis. It also isn't clear she and the other DC pilots had any other information before taking to the air.

Regardless, it's easy to say over a decade later that "I would have done so-and-so" without ever having been in the situation to make the choice. Given the ramping up of SJWism the past decade or so, it's unsurprising this minor facet of the events surrounding 911 is getting more coverage than ever.

Aren't F16s stationed on US mainland bases, equipped with weaponry?

Also, a F16 being so much faster and capable than a massive Boeing, maybe she could have impaired the big plane without even shooting at it? Like blasting her reactor on the boeing pilots' windshield, I don't know, where's NASA test pilot on this...? Or at the very least, calling for Wonderwoman to help a fellow feminist fighter...

The news article I read said they launched without weapons, because it was going to be another hour to arm the planes. They took off without standard pre-flight checklists as well. By this time, the first planes had already hit the WTC, and Flight 93 was already known to be under terrorist control. They didn't have much time to get in the air and intercept it before the plane would have reached the White House.

There were supposedly two F16s, hers, and one piloted by a guy. The guy was going to try to hit the cockpit, and she was to try to hit the tail. The guy was supposedly going to try to line up for an impact, and eject at the last second, knowing this would be a very risky move.

The article I read had her claiming she wasn't going to try to eject, because she wasn't willing to risk ejecting and then have her plane miss the target.

I think if it had been necessary, she would have let the guy go first, and would not have had to try if he succeeded in bringing down the plane. If he had tried and failed, it's hard to say if she would have given her life to ensure bringing the plane down.

I would say it is possible. Military pilots are trained intensively in the need to complete the mission, and she would be deeply instilled with that mentality. However, it's possible she would have chickened out in the end. Women are not naturally wired to sacrifice themselves, except in the case of their children, and even then, they're more likely to helplessly cry for a man to save her children.

The picture from that article shows airplane debris and parts (notably a passenger jet tail) that were clearly not there after the plane allegedly crashed there.

Note that this alleged crash site was that of a small abandoned mine crater. This landscape scar was already there before the plane allegedly crashed in it. Here is two pictures of that crater before 9/11-01, the second ne is a satellite picture that shows a long gash in the ground that could pass for an airplane crash site:

Multiple witnesses have stated seeing a twin rear-engined military plane flying low before and after the alleged crash. Their descriptions fit the specs of an A10 Warthog. Many analysts believe that the A10 has bombed the mine site to simulate a plane crash. Here's Christopher Bollyn's take:

Three things from off the top of my head.

1. I've seen plenty of self-congratulating "strong, tough, resourceful" military women who are rapturously praised in public by the chain of command crumble under even slight pressure.

2. "I'm a very big deal and I was prepared to do absolutely anything that day."

Translation: I didn't do anything out of the ordinary but my female ego still wants praise for it.

"You don't understand! I was prepared to die that day!"

Every serving member of the military is supposed to be prepared to die for their country, should the need arise, moron. And you did not die that day so it's a moot point.

Now shut-up and go make yourself useful for once by making your man a sandwich or keeping your body slender so he enjoys sex with you.

So did that pilot escort Flight 93 till it crashed and confirm seeing it go down? The F16 has an operational range of 2000mi and there are plenty of landing strips in the Shanksville area, so she wouldn't have had to return early.
