The Question Of Honesty

I wish that I had been told early on by my significant other about her large debt... It would have helped me to pay it off... But I was told at the last minute...

Our Children? Our MONEY MAKERS? (A Tradition of INDEBTEDNESS/ UTANG NA LOOB)

"What does a child owe his parents? What do parents owe their child? Let's explore the concept of 'Utang Na Loob', whereby Filipino children are indebted - literally - to their parents, and pressured to contribute scarce resources to the family unit. Is it fair? Is it harmful? What effect does it have on relationships between foreigners and Filipinas?"

Ask The Pea! BUDGETS, HUMOR, CHILDREN (in the Philippines)

Go straight to 13:17 to see her give *perfect* advice to a foolishly infatuated westerner, who is clueless! Lol

Important note: DO NOT confuse Filipinas with an American-born Filipinas. First girl I tried dating (her mom thought I was awesome, she was a Native Filipina wife who came to America after marrying a white man. She was sad when it didn't work out.) had fallen prey to most of the western lies. "The college experience," "Government keeps us safe," pick your poison. It was a shame too, since she was home-schooled and likely not as exposed to the state programming. Guess its just personal proof that indirect state programming through friends and the internet is just as effective.
