Five Reasons Why Christians Should Not Obtain a "State Marriage License"

Update for those looking to separate holy matrimony from state sanctioned marriage.

I was working with a lawyer that specializes in trusts in my state on behalf of a client and doing some reading. Apparently homosexuals have used trusts and advanced directives as a way to have "equivalent to marital" powers before their partnerships were sanctioned by the state.

The big advantage of a trust is that your paperwork (depending on the state) is never filed with the government and you only need to produce the documents when challenged in court, to open a bank account in the trust's name, buy real estate etc.

They are not expensive to set up either.
