BBC Earth has some nearly unbelievable footage. I like to record episodes and put them on for background, where I'm not really watching, but it's on if I happen to look up. I find it very soothing to watch nature shows like this.
While I don't disagree that IT and Software-adjacent fields will dominate the coming decades, don't discount the potential for normalcy bias. This is only assuming this dying, fetid corpse of a society in the West will even make it to 2030 with the constant and relentless assaults of our favorite Globohomo perpetrators. Farming and agriculture is far more important for a community than desktop support specialists can ever be.In the future I think the tech geeks, engineers etc. will be the ones getting basically 90% of all the money from salaries while the rest can hope to scrape some of the smaller remains.
