I cant log in from my laptop...is this a ssl issue?

I was having problems with that too - the login form at the top of the page and then the prompt to login when you click "like" didn't work. I was able to log in when I clicked the Reply button on this thread.

Are you using private browsing mode for this site?

I too have been having a hard time just logging in since the https switch. The forum keeps telling me that I logged in successfully but then it keeps me in guest mode, despite multiple attempts to log in. I was eventually able to log in by clicking the reply button and logging in through there, like RockHard did.

I thought it was my security settings, but after disabling https everywhere, noscript and ghostery, I still couldn't log on. I'm using firefox.

I had a login and posting replies problem but it fixed once I cleared all the cookies from the rvf site. Try that. Also don't rely on the page that keeps telling you to login. Login through the home page.

Yes, using both private browsing and VPN. Hadnt had an issue until last night. I can read the site, but when I try to log in, it says "Thank you for logging in" but then returns me to the login page.

I will try the cache dump idea and report back.

Yellow triangle on Google Chrome

I've been encountering this yellow triangle on the leftmost side of the address bar, long before I joined RVF.

Since the recent DDoS atracks here, I started paying attention to the detail how every time I click on certain individual topics here, that same yellow triangle shows up.

I took screenshots as evidence and attached them here.

Please merge this topic to another appropriate topic; otherwise, let's discuss this yellow triangle.

For those of you having log in problems, it's probably because you are trying to access the forum via rooshvforum.com instead of www.rooshvforum.com.

Let me see if I can do a rewrite to the htaccess.

Okay I think I fixed it. If you see a URL without the www, let me know. It should automatically add it from this point.

Yellow triangle means there are embedded images or video on the page that are not hosted on the forum. This is no cause for concern.

Me being pedantic, it means that there are elements (like the picture in post 1) that are hosted on a server that does not encrypt the file.

In short, everything except the image on that page is encrypted. It's nothing to be worried about but is a fair warning that a picture could be compromised if say we were a banking website.

But since we're not, it's nothing to worry about.
