^Yes. What Harem Scarem wrote about the general trend of attacking male sexuality - which I agree exists - is not really relevant when it comes to people who are genuinely ruthless manipulators. It would be a mistake to blow off all criticism of all PUA types as just feminist propaganda; there is a wide spectrum in that world when it comes to the individual men and their behavior.

My earlier attempts at talking to girls or trying in some way to behave like a normal human being was fraught with so much anguish and confusion, and dealing with girls (not shy, passive unicorns as the culture will tell us) who were dismissive or outright abusive or mocking can be a humiliating experience that stays with you for the long haul and needs to be overcome only through proper mentorship.
I simply do not recognise the shy and awkward young adult I used to be, and when I see the war against this community waged against people with a total misunderstanding of its teachings, I'm angry at the millions of men who are going to remain frozen in this scarcity-mindset, blue-pill state.
The community did lose its way slightly, with an over-emphasis on total promiscuity and posting hidden camera footage of girls in compromising positions, or Julien from RSD behaving like a cocked-up asshole for clicks, or that sneak Tom Torero faking infields, but I still support this community. I just wish it had been better regulated.

I've been married for many years and dating my now wife for some time before that but I'm somewhat surprised to see some of this vitriol towards the early PUA scene.
No doubt it was full of weirdos and snake oil salesmen, but it also laid the necessary foundation for what came after.
As for daygame, it was my preferred method, and I stand by the fact that it worked pre-tinder. Probably 95% of my success in dating was from daygame, and its also how I eventually met my wife. It suited my personality better, I was more comfortable approaching a girl in the middle of whatever activity I was doing anyways and striking up a conversation and building a connection than going out to some bar or club and competing as one monkey in a pack for the attention of women who were also there to preen and mate.
All of the more enduring observations of game regarding the nature of women and how to interact with them better apply to daygame, particularly when the goal is finding candidates for an LTR, than to night game where the approach and focus was necessarily sexual.

In response PC culture also ratcheted up. It became fashionable to virtue signal and be a victim.
In all of this fog game has changed in terms of social acceptance and norms. But social and sexual dynamics remain the same at heart. The problem is the contradictions of an at once "liberal" culture that encourages "you go grrlll, yasss queen slay" attitudes whilst telling women to be strong and powerful and be wary of any glance from men as an attack. I can't imagine how confusing this must be to hormone driven young men and women. That's why you see the same girls that protest the patriarchy during the day dress up like sluts and go to frat parties at night.

I think PUA is a slippery slope because a lot of it isn't entirely true, or more emphasised for effect. There's the risk of selling false promises to naive young men; which deep down the content creators know of. In the past there wasn't so much concern as the communities were small and there was some selection bias in the intelligence of the guys seeking it out - owing to who was on the internet 10 years ago.
Now, the likes of YouTube etc have become mainstream entertainment; with more young people consuming media online than they do through mainstream television. It's a very risky position of say RSD to be publishing videos similar to those made in 2013, now that the channel is bringing in over half a million views. The chance of bad press increases, not to mention the risk that some virgin subscriber commits an atrocity and your name/brand becomes tied with the actual deaths of other people. It's a smart move to change your focus to more common goal self improvement; where ultimately a lot of the movement was heading anyway.
I also think a lot of lessons from PUA have been absorbed into mainstream consciousness. The upper average guy today lifts weights at the gym, buys nice clothes, styles their hair etc and is keenly aware of maintaining their status through online platforms. It's a far cry from the days of 'peacocking' etc; where arguably the competition was much less.
I do wonder if the deeper philosophies being adopted by many 'ex PUA's' such as Roosh will spread to the mainstream. In the way that the initial PUA movement seemed to be early adopters of mass individual hedonism, travel and casual sex. Then too that the adoption of conservative values will follow suit.

The reason why you see some "nuggets" in there is because a lot of the advice is common sense effective communication advice. Human beings have been extremely prone to distraction, once somebody boils down the essence of attraction or a few tricks to help you get over a thought process, then it seems profound. But is it really? You could have intuitively developed a lot of these things by trial and error. Some do. Others will benefit from reading books and watching videos but still require testing them out. Thus, at the end of the day it doesn't change much in people's lives because in execution it's always going to be affected by things outside your control. Which is why Game never delivers what it promises, but oh, it promises so much. That's why it's such a good sales pitch to desperate and frustrated guys.
