RE: Day game instructors are shutting down their web sites Great breakdown. Yeah I definitely agree that Game made a small but critical difference in cultural dialogue. In many ways it was the natural counter to women's sexual liberation. With greater choice in partners (for both serious and casual relationships) the approach to getting women was changing in the late 80's and 90's. I've been following the community since my teenage years starting with alt.seduction. The days of NLP, Ross Jeffries, Bandler, Mystery, and a whole host of other people. I never paid for a bootcamp or anything but I was paying attention because as a short average looks male nerd I knew this was something I had to put more conscious effort into. By sheer numbers, lots of money spent going out, and testosterone I did eventually lose my virginity at 22. Much later than most men. Then spending a few years living in Japan while making good money helped me get a different perspective. I improved my personal style and gained more confidence thanks to my professional successes. Now in my early 30s I have no desire to approach women. I don't like going out at night, let alone just to hit on women in the hopes of playing the numbers game long enough to get a bite with an average woman. I also recognize the importance of looks, height, and status. Most importantly I realize that Game has helped me get laid and improve my life in certain respects but it hasn't helped at all in me getting a successful healthy LTR at this point in my life. I want to have a family and raise kids in a traditional nuclear family but I feel like it's a losing battle. Not sure what I'm going to do.
