Gas shortage

In Ontario, the gas station I go to was out of gas tonight. Not a big deal, but it's not a normal thing, the next one had some gas.

Part of it is the shortage, the other part is the frenzy and fear. I'd recomend to everyone to keep their tank full, and keep some jerry cans full out in the garage over the summer.

I heard about gas stations in IL running out a few weeks back, seems to be picking up now a bit in other regions. Will probably get ugly in the summer so great idea about the extra gas cans on hand, practical advice everyone should use. Americans have driven much less during the last year, plus much less flying, so would assume we have plenty of crude inventory, just a question of keeping the tankers moving

I work in the freight business, we have had 2 drivers call off today in the Southeast saying they drove around for hours and couldn't find gas at multiple stations. Nobody had any, can't get to work... Also, our terminals in the southeast are running out of diesel.

Fuel crisis because not enough drivers, leading to driver crisis because not enough fuel.

Bet they'll be a run on 5 gallon fuel cans at the store shortly across the US

For reference, not trying to be a fear monger - "20% to 25% of tank trucks in the fleet are parked heading into this summer due to a paucity of qualified drivers"

I don't know what a paucity is, but I don't trust it either

Why is there a scarcity of qualified truck drivers?

Actually, I found the answer:

"Just to put this into perspective, a long haul truck driver who is using a CB radio get 5000 millivolts of microwaves to his head as soon as he uses the CB radio one time. Maybe now you see why they have a severe obesity and sleep apnea problem in truck drivers even today that is recalcitrant to normal dietary and lifestyle changes. It changes calcium signaling in the cell and brain to alter all cell signaling and distort time. As a result, they also have had massive increases in sleep apnea and suffer from low melatonin levels as an occupational hazard. Neither are good things for truck drivers to be afflicted with to work. This is so concerning that the National Transportation and Safety Board (NTSB) is considering banning cell phone use by truck drivers under the guise of driving while distracted. The real issue is the hidden health dangers of phase shifting of circadian biology by non thermal EMF. Today there is epidemic of disease in truck drivers and airline pilots.

Both of these professions get massive amounts of environmental man made EMF exposure. I am sad to say surgeons do too because we work in an artificial environment where things are controlled by devices that run on EMF’s surrounded by artificial lights in the operative arena." - Dr Jack Kruse
