What now...? Move states? Fight the good fight? Is this the hill to stay on?
Many were waiting for the results of this recall before deciding to move states. Here come the mandates.
Public acceptance of his win is an ominous sign for future of "democracy"
While moving to greener pastures may be fruitful, perhaps the raging California wildfires will soon sweep the nation.
Adapt and overcome.

Get the vax. Start watching CNN and MSNBC. Get a job in a woke office, full of people that get paid to pretend to work from home in their underwear, and complain on Twitter and reddit about how selfish the anti-lockdown people are. Go outside and shame the local school kids for not wearing masks on the playground. You love Gavin Newsom... now don’t you???

So the recall petition raised over 1.5 million signatures (a very difficult thing to do) and then only a little more than two times that number vote to recall? I doubt it.

It's anecdotal, but I know only a couple people who signed the recall petition (you had to drive across counties) and tens of people that were voting YES in the election. The Nextdoor threads (in an affluent blue suburb) discussing the recall election also had many (felt like 30% of the comments) voicing that they were democrat and planning to vote YES.

Also somehow Newsom's current % of the recall vote is higher than his % of when he was first elected? I doubt it.

Please explain how you had to drive across counties to sign the recall petition when you could actually download and print the form yourself. Not to mention there were recall signing locations all over the damn place and even if you didn't have access to a printer you could have them mail you a form for free (see link below):

Seems completely made up.

I think something is very fishy in the results. Seems the only way to beat the system is to be ingrained in the system.

I should have added the modifier that this was early days in the recall. At the time there were no signing locations in my county. I remember checking. Maybe I made a mistake. Those people I mentioned did indeed drive across counties.

I was not aware at the time you could print it out and mail it. That certainly erodes my point, but I do not think it discounts it completely. 1.5 million signatures is quite a feat.
