Germany bans killing chick embryos because they feel pain, but still allows abortion of humans

Okay, I had to look this up since I made the claim.

https://www.destatis.de/EN/Themes/Society-Environment/Health/Abortions/_node.html

Germany has 59 abortions per 10,000 women. 99,948 total abortions for a country of roughly 80M.

https://www.guttmacher.org/gpr/2019...gain-state-abortion-restrictions-are-not-main

Meanwhile US is 135 per 10,000 women, a total of 862,000 abortions for a nation of roughly 330M (2018 numbers).

The last link is interesting as they claim there is a decline in abortion rates in America. The conclusions of the author as to the reasons for the declines (less extra marital sexual activity, contraception usage, attitudes toward abortion) are...intriguing.

Among whites of both countries, German abortion rates are actually about the same or higher than white Americans.
America below - whites aborted around 12% of pregnancies in 2017, and that was trending down at a good rate which continued to fall*:

I can't find race or religion specific data on Germany** but in 2020 they had 100k abortions and 773k live births, terminating 13% of their pregnancies.

*Germany is surprisingly homogeneous with only a 5% muslim population, so I don't think they would affect this rate too much.

I see these kinds of statements all the time comparing America to Europe, but those are almost never valid statements because they're not comparing Americans to Europeans. Yes the USA abortion rate is higher, but that's not because of Americans. One of these statements I frequently see is firearm homicide rate, which is actually higher for European whites in many western European countries than it is for white Americans, despite the latter owning many more firearms.

I went back to use your data points as a baseline. USA had 3.75M births in 2019 and 619,591 abortions, which by comparison means 14.17% of American pregnancies are terminated. I stand corrected, sounds like the rates are almost equal.

Related to that the number of children born to single mothers has exploded(40% nationwide). Culturally here in Germany it seems more common that people have kids first then marry afterwards (if at all).

I can't start new threads, but why the precipitous drop in American abortions over the last decade? Is the the attention economy (onlyfans and sugarbabies), tinder (locking a whole group of men out of sex) or something else? I mean, my understanding is American STD rates are way up with a massive amount of men locked out of dating...

1) Youth are getting their fulfillment via validation from social media (for women) and from porn (for men).
2) Women, due to social media and dating apps, virtually ignore over half of men now and try to lock in the top 20% of high value males. This is leaving millions of young men without any partners/sex and lowering sexual partner numbers in general.
3) Sex rates are down in general for the younger generations. Probably related to point #1. Soon we may turn into Japan where men just work and buy blowup dolls; God help us all.

Now adjust for race. Magic happens.

Exactly. Mr Mercury is trying to compare Germany with America in terms of abortions and STDs, without taking into consideration that we have about 40 million of the high-T, low impulse control race ("racist" facts, I know) that drive our stats way up.
