Churlish take. I use Tinder currently and do somewhat reasonably, location dependent. I dont live in the states or Western Europe (i am in the latter currently but not for long). Other parts of the world aren't quite as horrific as the States / Uk etc. Still shit, but hey.

It's not a long term thing, but as i will soon leave where i am and move back East, then i want to at least give myself every chance in every field.

Also outside of that I have crap photos in general, and would like nice ones for all matters.

Might've been a little churlish. I personally know two people who met their spouses on Tinder. Seems to be working out OK for them. Just seems like high effort/low result compared to other avenues of finding women (especially now that the golden of age of Tinder is over, as the algorithm does not work in your favor.) None the less, I wish you luck (non-ironically).

I don't use Instagram, but still I know it's a much better dating app than Tinder, especially if you're looking for a (good) wife. The women (and men) who use Instagram are a bit narcissistic, but that's something you'll have to deal with on any app or just in general in the modern world. Tinder is a black hole, avoid it for anything but hookups, and even then you're better off on Instagram (or even better, house parties and such).

Getting them done today.

Spoke to the photographer last night, really cool guy, retired guy, ex forces, not some hipster douche at all. Used to box as an amateur and was really into it that i wanted one that was related to training boxing.

Was feeling pretty sketchy about it, now am really up for getting them done. End of the day, i have crap photos, and if all this gives me is some high quality pictures of myself (which i have zero of currently), then as a memento at least in later years, that is something worth having IMHO.

I always hire a professional photographer when I'm traveling in South America. There are a lot of skilled people there that can make amazing shots according to your wishes. The good thing, it is really cheap.

To be honest if you are meeting women from day-game or social circle as you should be than the photos will be far less important. Just my take. I know some guys love online game.

I don't use instagram (but maybe should), but forget about Tinder and dating sites. Instagram is the best dating site, and even if you're not finding people on instagram, it's the preferred social network of women and after meeting a woman IRL you can suggest DMing on instagram instead of texting or using whatever other medium. And then you've got a profile of nice pictures - posed and candid, showing your best angles and your fun, adventurous life - she can stalk in her free time.

Now, of course, instagrammers tend to be narcissistic, but in currentyear I think a certain amount of narcissism and distractedness before shiny apps and things is a given, so just make sure she's not totally off the deep end, shares your values, and can be helped the last 10% of the way to adulthood.
