I want to reiterate that I totally think she got what she deserved.
However, to license members of society to use physical violence at their own discretion whenever they feel disrespected, is to invite a world where the big dominate the small.

Now, on the other hand, I think a healthy fear of saying the wrong thing to the wrong person is helpful and keeps people from believing that they can get away with anything. But to make it a social policy that you can attempt to beat up anyone who hurts your feelings, as a terrible idea.
If you want to argue for a better way of organizing society, I do believe that women should grow up knowing that they get out of line, a man will put them back in their place. Same goes for young men. Same goes for grown women. If we do that and children and women begin to act in a polite manner (because they have no choice), asshole men are going to look like assholes if they don't personally hold themselves to a higher standard.
Feminism is the problem, as it removed the father as the head of the home. Arguing that we should have men beating each other senseless in the street over perceived insults is not going to help one little bit.
