Personally I think that the enlightenment completely destroyed, and is destroying western civilization. If Martin Luther was not living in that world view that created the Enlightenment, along with the RCC, he might have actually became Orthodox.

When I lived near a Western Rite Orthodox Church, I attended. I see that as the only way forward in keeping western traditions in their proper context in full communion/connection with Orthodoxy. As Orthodoxy rightly appropriates western Saints, I believe this is the next step in fully evangelizing the west.
Greek theologian: Patriarch Bartholomew is acting against Orthodoxy
The West, instigated by the devil, wants to de-Christianize the Orthodox East, believes the protopresbyter of the Church of Greece.
Archbishop Elpidoforos’ actions and rhetoric are very concerning. The Greek Orthodox Archdiocese wrote on Twitter, "Last month, the most visible leader of Orthodox Christianity in the country, Archbishop @Elpidophoros, said at the antiabortion March for Life that the biblical Mary “freely chose” to bring Jesus into the world, “and God respected her freedom … we march not for coercion.

It’s literally the only comment I’ve ever made regarding the church or the Archbishop. It’s very concerning to me.

The leadership of GOARCH appears to have abandoned the Orthodox faith in favor of worldly accolades and other motives.

I have a kinder view of GOARCH, because there are traditional monasteries under its jurisdiction -- including Elder Ephraim's communities. GOARCH is under the Ecumenical Patriarchate (EP), which also oversees The Holy Mountain.
Patriarch Bartholomew is not as bad as some past hierarchs, such as Athenagoras and Meletius IV.
The EP is still Orthodox. The fact that it has fallen into error just means we need to pray harder! Lord have mercy on us all!
