Generally, discussions about race on the internet turn into battles whether you want them to or not. So, in my opinion, it's better not to talk about it unless you've got thick skin and really know your shit.
You can't always predict how race conversations online will go - but if you'd be right most of the time if you guessed 'South'.

Honestly, who cares if some dick-brain calls you a "racist". The word was invented by mass-murdering Red Army general Leon Trotsky, and it was used to browbeat the Eastern European populations for not accepting for Soviet occupation. Those same Eastern Europeans were killed in the worst genocide known to mankind, the Holodomor - some 7 million Ukrainian Christians lost their lives to starvation. So, he used the word to condemn Russians and slavic peoples for believing in their superiority as a people. Yet he has no qualms about implying that they're actually *inferior* when he calls slavophilism the "messianism of backwardness"!
But it seems that the word was used before Trotsky by some French writers. And from digging around it appears that the words racist and racism really only became common currency later in the 30's after the Nazis came to power.

Not to turn this into a conversation about history but Hitler is a considered a universal monster by everyone due to the holocaust. Yet, how come men like Stalin, Trotsky, Lenin etc... Get off the hook, despite being responsible for killing even more people?
