How Old Is The Earth?

@Roosh or anyone else with info on a loosely similar topic - earth's population. I never really thought about it until like 3 years ago when I read a random article by a professor along the lines of "Strange statistics people take at truth without questioning". He basically argued multiple different reasons why there's no possible way earth's population can be 7B+ now, and I believe he estimated it at significantly under 1B people. This is a very important topic because so many narratives (anti-Christian narratives, really) hinge upon the universally-agreed truth of 7B+ rampant over-population. On it's face, the number seems absurd, and seems like a ridiculously high number modern governments would promote to back-door fear-driven initiatives such as birth control, Green New Deal, etc.

I don't believe that number either. Shithole governments report ridiculous numbers to get more "development aid". And China makes itself look undefeatable.

Maybe the Earth Population topic deserves a thread at some point as a way of investigating it further and gathering some resources. Too many hardcore globalist arguments depend on this 7B+ over-population narrative, which has the effect of nihilism and loathing amongst Westerners, for us to just accept such a number at face value. Here is a scholarly article with some formula's in it which we might be able to use, along with an agreed upon set of assumptions, to better come up with a number. Several researchers have proposed an ideal earth population around 1.5B, which is what we very well might be at or below currently (but this number would encourage Western Christians to have more babies and we don't want that narrative!)

The Holy Scriptures are a library of ancient history, recorded chronologically and metaphorically. It is the latter we have to consider in passages that seem symbolical. Problem is, we interpret the Bible through modern eyes; modern languages are very literal and lack the depth of symbolism older languages have, and we lack tenses that would make us understand old texts better. Interpreting Scripture by yourself is therefore quite dangerous without the spiritual guidance of a priest, or at the very least the proper resources. You can buy, for example, Strong's Exhaustive Concordance to the Bible and look up every single word in the King James Version and their Hebrew and Greek meanings and various definitions.

Guess what, the Hebrew word used for 'day' in Genesis 1 is 'yom', which has many meanings, such as:

One of the first meanings is 'age' and this is the only correct way to interpret 'day' in Genesis 1. God didn't create our universe in six 24 hour days but in six eras, ages, periods. How long these were we will never know, but anthropology and many creations myths suggest our universe exists way longer than young earth creationists would like us to believe.

I talked about this very topic with my priest in my catechumen lessons and he told me exactly the same, that 'day' means 'age' and that (apparently) we live in the seventh day (age).
I am paraphrasing so "A day is like a thousand years and a thousand like a day"
The Bible is quite clear on time being different for God.
Only my opinion.... We are missing the point by debating the minutiae.
Get ready for His return, not many years left.
By Christ's own words when asked when He would return. The generation that sees the creation of Israel in modern times, plus the age of a generation ( life span)
equals the approx time for his return.
I used the 1948 life exp. today for my calc.
May 14th 1948 + 78 (life exp.) = 2026-2033 approx or sooner as we cannot know the day or time, but as Christians we are commanded to be watching for and would be able to discern that IT (Rapture) is close.
Everything I see today is screaming that we are heading for a one world monetary/ religious system, this is not congruent with Christian beliefs/doctrine.
I am a NOBODY but this has been a deep belief since I was a child.
May God bless you and yours and hope to see you on the other side.

Our Lord gave us the book of Genesis and there is not much to interpret into the first verses of chapter 1. The Scripture text is absolutely clear - especially about the timeframe - regardless of the translation.

It's very relevant for salvation. If the fundamental view of Creation is wrong, nothing built on it makes any sense.
To me He/God/Christ created it end of discussion. It is called Faith.

My question is, does anyone have any more info on this topic? Seems like something that would be relatively easy to analyze mathematically, and assess whether "Given the population in the year 1800, what is the likelihood the population in 2021 would be X". I assume that is a very low likelihood. Pulled from the comments section of the below YouTube video (avoid the 1st minute of video): "In 1750 the population on earth 700 million. In 1900 only 150 years later the population was 1.6 billion - a increase of 130%. End of 2016 only 116 years on the population was 7.5 billion - a further increase of 369% from 1900. In the next 100 years the increase will purportedly be a staggering 1100 %, which results into 90 Billion people on earth."

Maybe there is something there but, man, sv3rige belongs in the asylum. Everything he promotes is dangerous and he is a clear psycho with narcistic delusions.

If something conflicts with God's word, our first instinct should be to distrust the something, not God. Imagine we get to Heaven and ask God, how did you do it? Like, I told you in Genesis, not my fault you didn't believe me.

Amazon Prime "Noah's Ark" serves has some good insights on our origins. It's a four part series, the first two are great and the second two are mostly Seventh Day Adventist nonsense.

Full disclosure, I have no idea who that guy is so you may totally be right, but I couldn't find the article yet from like 3 years ago that made a number of solid arguments, so this was kind of just a taster as the guy seems to have covered at least 1 or 2 of the "Population Myth" concepts, such as "at a scale of 1 million much less 1 billion, the human mind does not really have the idea to conceptualize this number well- the number just means 'A Lot'. So anything over a couple thousand people, people start thinking they're over-crowded" ... We see this with other numerical-psychological phenomena such as the amount of debt the country has, the supposed amount of distance between planets in the solar system, the amount of cells in the human body, or even many statistical ratios which people have issues conceptualizing naturally. Thus, it leaves them open to believe anything from an "approved source", such as Bill Nye the Science Guy.

I need to find better, more legit sources on the topic for sure. If I'm successful maybe start a thread.

according to a book from an orthodox saint i read (the ladder of the divine ascent), lying is not recommended for anyone who is not spiritually mature, but it is not always bad. he just says as a rule dont do it unless you have conquered you passions and will already. so i think it is indeed possible for god to lie or deceive. like when he deceived Abraham into almost sacrificing his son (and then told him truth at

Speaking seriously, the true folly of the atheist is his rejection of all that is spiritual and in turn embracing materialism. I think it would also be a folly to reject all that is material and embrace only the spiritual. God gave us both body and spirit, therefore to ignore either...is to deny God.
The body is just a shell, temporary home, temple for the soul. No?

Please, enlighten me.

And tell me how every other celestial body, including multiple we see with our own eyes from Earth, and see from space with satellites, trips, etc are round.
Planets look pretty “spherical” through my own telescope. And planetary rings look like “rings” and not “lines over a disc.” I’ve watched the moon rotate. It’s an orb.

Please, enlighten me.
The amount of text needed to explain this is insurmountable.

I will provide reason for the most obvious ones which I already alluded to.

He never provides the viewer with logical and reasonable counter arguments. He instead provides red herring arguments.
For instance, how the only reason the shadow experiment would be wrong is if if someone falsified the length of the shadow in Syene.
How the only reason the lengths of the shadows could be different is because there is a curve of the surface, which he then proceeds to program the viewer to understand with his ridiculous visual experiment.

As a viewer, you are never provided with what the people of the earth understood before the entire disinformation campaign of (G)lobe and (G)ravity science was forced upon us as children. You are provided with information designed to reinforce what you have already been told in school.

That if the sun goes around the earth, at a much closer distance, it could just as easily explain the different lengths of shadows as does his billion trillion million miles away sun. However, this would run counter to his own agenda. It might confuse the viewer, because then two equally plausible scenarios would be presented and the viewer would be forced to come to their own conclusion.
And tell me how every other celestial body, including multiple we see with our own eyes from Earth, and see from space with satellites, trips, etc are round.
If you want to put your trust in the Government, Not A Space Agency, et al. (because everything you ever see regarding "Space" is their work and your money) my attempts to enlighten you will fall as flat as trying to convince a mask-wearing normie not to take an unsafe vaccine.

Hold on (and you didn't answer my questions, btw) let's get at least one thing straight here: it doesn't matter what we think about this topic. I just see no reason to doubt what I actually can, at least in part, verify from my own position here on the earth. Celestial bodies are round, they rotate (better explanation than some made up stuff you won't tell me even), and there are many examples of them.

Unless it's pure entertainment for you, the standard explanations actually make sense in every way, and don't waste our time. Believing in spherical bodies that most humans have reported and studied throughout time, made calendars on, fly around the world on, put satellites in orbit, etc seems highly likely, not just plausible. It has absolutely nothing to do with anything approaching most BS these days, which is clown world stuff that this is not. This is an odd hill to complain on, or die on, from a conspiracy angle ... it's really weird to me because unlike bullshit like climate change which has a real agenda, you can't actually verify it yourself at least in some ways, by walking outside.

How do Flat Earthers explain why the Sun is not visible at night. The changing length of days and the changing of seasons. There are so many logic holes in the theory that one would have to be a gullible true believer to not realize that. It is a psyop designed to make anyone that questions Evolution, Global Warming etc. to look like fools by comparing them to Flat Earthers.

I don’t know exactly how old the Earth is, but I don’t believe it to be older than 10,000 years
Bro, NOWHERE does it say in the Bible that the Earth is 10.000 years old. This nonsense was INTERPRETED by people after they counted the generations listed. Don't start drifting into total kookoo-land territory.

The generations listed in the scriptures are not a count from the creation of the planet, they are a count from when THIS WORLD was created, which means this world we live in now after the destruction of the last world about 9600 BC, which is also the time Platon gives when he talks about the destruction of Atlantis by Comet/Asteroid impact or a huge Meteor shower that hit the planet.

5. Revelation 12:7-9 “Then war broke out in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.”

And when men become fierce and destitute of virtue
Then does the Yuga come to an end
and the course of the winds will be confused and agitated
and innumerable meteors will flash through the sky forboding evil
And the sun will appear with six others of the same kind
And all around will be din and uproad
and everywhere there will be conflagrations
and fires will blaze up on all sides
when the end of the Yuga comes.
---The Kali Yuga, Mahabharata

Hard is it on earth, with mighty whoredom;
Axe-time, sword-time, shields are sundered,
Wind-time, wolf-time, ere the world falls;
Nor ever shall men each other spare.

Fenris wolf advances, burning mouth, fiery eyes,
the lower jaw on Earth, the upper in the skies.
And Fenrir's brood in monster's guise
was soon to steal the sun from the skies.

Besides the wolf, with venomous breath,
the Midgard-Serpent is set free
defiling air and sea.

The sun turns black, earth sinks into the sea,
hot stars down from heaven whirled
Fierce grows the steam and life-feeding flame,
til fire leaps high about heaven itself.

Fenrir had his fill, the Earth goes cold,
the sky stays dark for years untold.

Now do I see the Earth anew,
rise all green from the waves.
The cararacts fall, the eagle flies,
and catches fish as he dives.

The gods in Ithavoll meet together,
of the terrible girdler of Earth they talk.
Their mighty past they call to mind,
and the ancient runes of their kind.

In wondrous beauty to behold,
golden tables stand mid grass,
just like in the days of old.

-Ragnarök

These Texts all talk about the same thing - the destruction of the last world as we know it, and the 'rebirth' of the new world after the destrucion. Revelation chapter in the Bible is FULL of descriptions of various cosmic attacks - stuff hitting the land, hitting the sea, asteroid showers, etc...

Please dont become a total nutjob by subscribing to the dumb evangelical interpretation of when the earth was created. It is false and stupid.

@Roosh

Love your work bro. If you wanna learn more about this topic I can give a ton of good material you can read or watch...

Thereupon one of the priests, who was of a
very great age, said: O Solon, Solon, you Hellenes are never anything
but children, and there is not an old man among you. Solon in return
asked him what he meant. I mean to say, he replied, that in mind you
are all young; there is no old opinion handed down among you by ancient
tradition, nor any science which is hoary with age. And I will tell
you why. There have been, and will be again, many destructions of
mankind arising out of many causes; the greatest have been brought
about by the agencies of fire and water, and other lesser ones by
innumerable other causes. There is a story, which even you have preserved,
that once upon a time Paethon, the son of Helios, having yoked the
steeds in his father's chariot, because he was not able to drive them
in the path of his father, burnt up all that was upon the earth, and
was himself destroyed by a thunderbolt. Now this has the form of a
myth, but really signifies a declination of the bodies moving in the
heavens around the earth, and a great conflagration of things upon
the earth, which recurs after long intervals; at such times those
who live upon the mountains and in dry and lofty places are more liable
to destruction than those who dwell by rivers or on the seashore.
And from this calamity the Nile, who is our never-failing saviour,
delivers and preserves us. When, on the other hand, the gods purge
the earth with a deluge of water, the survivors in your country are
herdsmen and shepherds who dwell on the mountains, but those who,
like you, live in cities are carried by the rivers into the sea. Whereas
in this land, neither then nor at any other time, does the water come
down from above on the fields, having always a tendency to come up
from below; for which reason the traditions preserved here are the
most ancient.

The fact is, that wherever the extremity of winter frost or of summer
does not prevent, mankind exist, sometimes in greater, sometimes in
lesser numbers. And whatever happened either in your country or in
ours, or in any other region of which we are informed-if there were
any actions noble or great or in any other way remarkable, they have
all been written down by us of old, and are preserved in our temples.
Whereas just when you and other nations are beginning to be provided
with letters and the other requisites of civilized life, after the
usual interval, the stream from heaven, like a pestilence, comes pouring
down, and leaves only those of you who are destitute of letters and
education; and so you have to begin all over again like children,
and know nothing of what happened in ancient times, either among us
or among yourselves. As for those genealogies of yours which you just
now recounted to us, Solon, they are no better than the tales of children.
In the first place you remember a single deluge only, but there were
many previous ones; in the next place, you do not know that there
formerly dwelt in your land the fairest and noblest race of men which
ever lived, and that you and your whole city are descended from a
small seed or remnant of them which survived. And this was unknown
to you, because, for many generations, the survivors of that destruction
died, leaving no written word. For there was a time, Solon, before
the great deluge of all, when the city which now is Athens was first
in war and in every way the best governed of all cities, is said to
have performed the noblest deeds and to have had the fairest constitution
of any of which tradition tells, under the face of heaven.

My father tells me that, "nowhere in the bible does it say that God created Woman. It says that A Rib was taken from Adam, then woman was created."
Then, my father says...
"Satan. Satan created woman."
This seems pretty hard to reconcile with logic in general, but more specifically with Genesis 5, and then Christ's exegesis/reference in Matthew:

"He answered, 'Have you not read that he who made them from the beginning made them male and female'"

Just so you know.
