I introduce you to TikTok Lite

This application is not really a social network, it is a short video feed (between 15 and 60 seconds) that is on the rise worldwide. It is a good hobby (I use it before bed, to wait to dry my hair) and it has some good truths there. Your secret is on the "for you" page where you mix the most varied subjects. The Lite version is just for watching videos and searching.

*Before you tell me about the criticism that the app has been receiving, know that the owner of the Facebook family (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Messenger) tried to buy the app that was incorporated into TikTok (Musical.ly), copied the app (Lasso and Instagram Reels in Brazil), as it was unable to slow the advance of TikTok, is starting to criticize.

Bro you need a wife. Stop wasting your time on dumbass apps like TikTok. There is no value or truth to be found there, just emptiness and wasted time. Put the phone down for a minute or two, you'll feel better I promise

It's also OK to go to bed with your hair still wet. I have been doing it for 29 years now, nothing is gonna happen

I am writing this from my phone

Tik Tok is the worst aspects of current culture distilled down to few seconds. One, it's mostly for young people with the attention span of a goldfish. Two, it's a popularity contest based on looks. The most popular videos are just attractive people doing random things. No surprise, Tik Tok has increased teen anxiety and depression. Three, it's a complete time sink that appeals to your most basic instincts.

"Drying my hair?" Are you serious? You shouldn't be looking at screens in your bed anyways.

Couldn't have summed it up better. Look up "Tik Tok Cringe" on Youtube if you're feeling adventurous, I couldn't stomach more than 30 seconds. The app is truly a digital cancer.

TikTok (Chinese: 抖音; Dǒuyīn) is a Chinese video-sharing social networking service owned by ByteDance, a Beijing-based company founded in 2012 by Zhang Yiming. It is used to create short dance, lip-sync, comedy, and talent videos. The app was launched in 2017 for iOS and Android in markets outside of China.

I would wager that it is fully a datamining/face scanning protocol for China in the race to develop AI. Tons of data is needed for this endeavor, and the app provides.

TikTok is what you get when you have absolutely no moral qualms about using research in psychology to create a piece of software that takes advantage of the human appetite on both sides of the screen/camera. Both consumer and the exhibitor have their appetites fed.

If you have children old enough for a cellphone you should be on this app just to see what they are up against.

It's hard to think of a greater waste of time than using a social media platform that exclusively plays ADHD-sized videos. You might as well just give yourself a lobotomy at that point.

Hopefully zoomers wake up soon and ditch this silly platform. We've got work to do - all hands will be needed on deck.

With the power of my nintendo switch and the approval of my girlfriend's boyfriend I will fight the patriarchy trying to take down Tik Tok.

It is just the bad-looking people to use common sense, filming from a distance with the simple organized environment. It is clear that good-looking people with good scenery will be tolerated by the proximity to the camera and the beautiful disorganized environment.

TikTok:
- Chinese owned (so Chinese Communist Party controlled)
- Almost entirely curated by algorithm (as opposed to following people). Who programmed the algorithm?
- Bias towards teenagers, some videos technically border on soft child porn
- Became the #1 social network when Corona took off

Not exactly sure what TikTok's reputation was in the past.

But these days it's known as the place where doctors and nurses show off their dance moves while Covid-19 patients die in beds. Since reputations die hard, this will probably be its historic legacy.
