The thing about cowardice and bravery is - it has to be for something that is worth it. If they kidnap your buddy or your family - then by all means - risk your life and kill and be killed.

In this case as well as with many other instances it's not worth it. I recently also had an opportunity to "keep it real" with a neighbor of mine. He was pissed off, said something stupid and I told him back. We almost got into a fight for nothing. Now we are in good terms. He said sorry, I met his hot girlfriend. Things are good - he just had a lousy day back then. Conflict is only worth it, when it's about something worth fighting for. Then you can show no mercy and risk the consequences.

If the other guy has a gun, you give him what you want, if they have a knife you run(assuming you are in an open area). Always have a photocopy or 3 of your passport, in case you get robbed. Now you will have to stand in line at your embassy. And stop hanging out with gay hookers!

I was thinking this and then Scotian stepped in to say it (except he actually has the connections).

I advise going this route. It's not often you have the option to serve up a little South American revenge so nicely. Just make sure you are around to watch it happen.

Do we really need to be talking about arranging the stabbing of people on the forum after the Alexandre Cazes and AlphaBay thing? For a mere $100?

It doesn’t matter if no one knew what Cazes was doing off-forum - it was a near miss and I was deeply surprised the forum itself wasn’t falsely implicated by unethical leftist typists.

I get it, real life can be much murkier and darker than posts on a forum. Shit happens and it’s a part of life. Revenge is real.

But writing that in this thread is terribly shortsighted. I can’t mince my words.

There’s a big difference between members of this forum discussing breaking gender pronoun laws and even hypothetically saying, “I’ll put you in touch with someone who can stab him for you.”

I promise you: if we make a business of stray comments like that, eventually the whole forum will be done in by some vague or remote connection to something that happens offline. It doesn’t matter how tenuous.

I’m all for karma, but advising folks to get someone stabbed should be off-forum.

Scotian's initial comment wasn't a problem. The issue is TooFineAPoint then said he advised that course of action.

Taken by itself, Scotian's remark was harmless. What becomes a problem is subsequent commenters "calling for" or "advising" something like that.

I responded to TooFine because he took what would be interpreted by any sane person as humorous commentary and took it in another direction.

People can call me a wowser and a party pooper, but after both Cazes' downfall and the Alex Minassian incel beat-up (even if no one knew about Cazes' activities and Minassian didn't read the forum), some comments can be used against the forum.

I am not a firm believer in "optics" (our views will always be twisted), yet some things just shouldn't be said on the forum.

I don't have any problem with TooFine personally - I'm just pointing out what will likely go down in these situations.

As for $100 not being the market rate, you'd be surprised. My friend knew a guy in suburban Paris who was beaten to within two inches of his life for 75 Euro (37.50 Euro each). He took a pass at someone's girl, who then reciprocated the flirtation, and the infuriated boyfriend got two local thugs to give him a pounding. Some people do this stuff for shits and giggles, plus a small amount of cash.

We should not forget that Western society had plenty of pre- and extra-marital sex for centuries even while they conquered the entire world and created modern civilization - there were just enough sane chaste women available on top of the sluts and hookers. Obviously stoning adulterers and burning witches at the stake were not the things that made their countries great.

Also someone seems to have met him and described him as an unpleasant aspie - my guess is that the guy robbed him out of principle.

Even if the story is fake, I think it's instructive, at least for the line of thinking it should inspire in men. My initial reservations about OP's "experiences" aside, this thread has been thought-provoking.

The need to assert yourself can sometimes kill or hurt you much quicker than simply backing off, which normally appears to be the weaker option. The line separating beneficial masculine behavior from self-destructive, naive masculine behavior is fine, vague, fuzzy, whatever you want to call it.

What we find manly and proper in our responses today can appear reckless and ill-advised tomorrow. Constant correction, recalibration and reevaluation is how we need to approach our actions, bearing in mind that we will never nail down things perfectly.

There's also a risk that even as red-pilled guys from the West, used to the stupidity and dicklessness of the various SJW creeds, we forget that there are real and common dangers in societies or sub-societies that don't follow the worst of modern leftist precepts. Walk into certain parts of Chicago or go trawling through parts of Latin America and you see that the otherwise masculine behavior of striking back or standing up for yourself can land you in a whole pile of trouble very quickly.
