Over the years - especially the past 2 years - I find myself becoming increasingly hostile to the idea of new and emerging technology. The 'revolutionary' mRNA vaccines, cellphone/internet addiction, social media, on-demand pornography, crushing national and consumer debt, cosmopolitan wokeness, economic stagnation, rampant moral decay, the looming specter of AI and CBDCs.... All of these modern phenomena have deeply negatively impacted my life and many other peoples' lives. The cities are crowded and uncomfortable, the politicians never listen and ignore the public will when it suits them, nobody seems to connect with each other meaningfully anymore. More words are communicated by text than by mouth. I don't even know my neighbors' names, the people keep moving in or out and most of them hardly speak English anyways. I want to check out, slow down, completely withdraw from modern life (at least in the economic sense). A rough, difficult lifestyle working as a farmer-homesteader seems infinitely more appealing than this gilded cage we call 'modern living'.

Is anyone else growing tired of it all?

Absolutely. Basically word for word what you wrote. I've been looking into how and where to get started as a homesteader for a couple of years now and the wife finally seems to be coming around to the idea, which has been hard because we have a comfortable suburban lifestyle right now.

Yes. Every part of your life that you can separate, starves the beast a little more. Get off big tech. No Google, Apple, or platforms. Anything that has a centralized control, that can say “Not You”, delete it.

Decentralized and/or anonymous is fine. Email (proton, tutanota), nostr, matrix, etc.

Next, money. Don’t loan the enemy money. Stocks, bonds, and banks. Big business (most of the S&P is the FAANG), government, and banks. The more people take their money out of the system, the less power it has. Money in fiat currency is still in the system…convert fiat cuckbucks to real money. I like Bitcoin, you may like gold. The less fiat you have, the lower your inflation tax. Have as little money in the bank as possible. Starve the beast.

Get fit, get healthy, and get anti-fragile. Expect to not have banking, a doctor, or a job. Once you know you can live without those things, life is much less uncertain. Less uncertain means less stress, less anxiety, and more time to pay attention and give love to those who deserve it.
