I've been teaching at a cooking school part-time for the past few months and the difference in culture compared to when I went to cooking school is massive. Such emails are becoming an annual ritual on some campuses. The University of Colorado, the University of Minnesota, and Ohio University all urged their students to wear culturally sensitive costumes in 2013. One of the administrators who signed the Yale email, Burgwell Howard, sent an almost identical note to Northwestern students in 2010, the year after a blackface scandal at that university.

The amazing thing this time was not the fact that women were upset about it and raised such a shitstorm. The almost surprising thing is that it was at Yale - obviously a place of utter subversion of cultural marxism.

I have a feeling there will soon be a master thread in Everything Else for pointless college protests. These will proliferate like mad, and begin to make college campuses wobble and come apart like an Iranian centrifuge after Stuxnet got through with it.

Not to be left out, Berkeley High School recently had its own special meltdown. It seems that someone left something racist somehow on the monitor of a school library computer, causing much weeping and gnashing of teeth, leading directly to a march to the main plaza of the University of California Berkeley campus by 2000 of the school's 3000 students.

Nothing was hacked, there was no racist school policy. Sounds more like some kid photoshopped the school library webpage and left a screenshot on a monitor:

District officials say the message appeared to be a modified screen shot of the school's library web page that was left on one computer in the library. It did not appear that the system had been hacked and the website altered.

The culprit turns out to be a freshman boy, who has not been identified, meaning there is a good chance he isn't white. And it might be a hoax.
