I like all kinds of food.

Seeing as how it's summer, how can anything be better than antipasto:

Nice cold meats, fresh cheeses, grilled vegetables:

Even just grilled veggies, at room temperature with some olive oil and balsamic vinegar:

And if the vegetables are organic and fresh, why mess it up by doing much to it?

Completely simple, you don't even need a stove. You can cook it all ahead of time. If you want to get fancy, grill some peaches and wrap with ham and goat cheese:

A fresh summer heirloom tomato is so beefy, so sweet. A little fresh basil, fresh mozzarella, olive oil, salt pepper. Chefs are overdoing it. It tastes amazing exactly as it is:

If you have to cook, Wild Mushroom Risotto with too much parmesan cheese in it. Yeah, labor intensive. Let your girlfriend do the stirring. She can handle that much:

It's Summer. Italian food wins.

Debeguiled has won the Interwebs for the day. You can all stop posting now.

That's called gravy in the US? Doesn't even come close to our gravy:

Roast+Beef+with+Coffee+Gravy+500.jpg

Thats just one kind of gravy in the US. Its flour, pork fat, pork sausage, salt, pepper and whole milk.

The above would be called 'brown gravy' and is more of that reduction of drippings from a roast. It exists here, just by a different name.

1)Italian (a really well done Chicken Parm with red wine? Tuna sauce? Come on...)
2)Mexican (shouldn't have to explain this)
3)Peruvian (Ceviche, chicharrón sandwiches, zomg)
4)Vietnamese (Bánh mì, *drool*)
5) Good ol' American BBQ (there are few things better than a masterfully prepared Texas brisket)
6)tie between Japanese and Korean (torn between bulgogi and sushi...)

Texas food. Tex-Mex, BBQ, Chili, chicken fried steak beats Yankee food any day. Migas for breakfast, yum!

Also, jalapenos are mild peppers!

That's a different kind of gravy, pork (sausage) grease based, flour, milk. Usually has chunks of breakfast sausage in it.
The brown gravy in yours is beef based. There's all kinds of gravy, it's just a way of reconstituting drippings, so not to waste them. Just add flour and water/milk.

As a guy in the middle of a weight cut, this thread is to me what the "what does a 10 look like" thread is to guys doing NoFap.

Al Pastor is actually based on Middle eastern food

Al pastor (from Spanish, lit. In the style of the shepherd), also known as tacos al pastor, is a dish developed in Central Mexico, likely as a result of the adoption of the shawarma spit-grilled meat brought by the Lebanese immigrants to Mexico. Being derived from shawarma, it is also similar to the Turkish döner kebab and the Greek gyros. Although shawarma and döner are usually lamb-based (thus the "shepherd-style" name), gyros and tacos al pastor in Mexico are made from pork.

The closest dish is a Doner Kebab - which is made out of lamb.

A lot of places use Naan or Pita Bread.

Doner meat (Lamb) > Al Pastor (made with Pork)
Naan/Pita Bread > tortillas

I live in Los Angeles and I've eaten a lot of genuine Mexican food...I'm not Middle Eastern but I think it's hard to beat a good Doner Kebab.

I am pretty much giving a like to everything in this thread, even Britchard's fish and chips, though the peas make any upstanding citizen think of this:

I am sure Britchard apologizes for inspiring that gif.

I love Asian and Indian cuisines, especially the more exotic ones like Nepalese which are like a middle ground between Indian and Oriental dishes. I always go for the weirder things on conventional Indian menus too.

Alternatively give me a nice juicy rump steak with herbed sweet potato wedges, tender stem broccoli seasoned with a fuckload of pepper and I'm happy.

Whenever people say they like Vietnamese food I know they mean one of three things...banh mi, pho, or spring rolls. Everything else is pretty much an acquired taste.

I like Vietnamese food a lot but i've seen very very few western tourists sit down to have a bowl of Bun Rieu Cua or something similar.

With that being said Viet food is extremely healthy. That's why you get all those flawless skin toned honies with perky tits.

Thai food is probably my all time favorite. I could live off of it easily because there's such a broad variety.

Mexican is a close second but it does get repetitive even when you delve into the various mole which has nothing on SEA curries.

Italian is probably the best. The sheer variety of it is just mind-boggling. Don't like pasta? Cool, here's some grilled branzino with a side or roasted potatoes. And yes, I do prefer it over on the mainland as opposed to the Americanized versions of it

Food from the Caucusus (Georgian, Armenian etc.) is criminally underrated as well.

Mushy peas has the taste and texture of Gerber's baby food.

Brits make good fish and chips and underrated breakfast items like bangers but mushy peas looks like jolly green giant jizz.
