Is being a Republican Red Pill?

Never ceases to amaze me how guys who are ostensibly "red pill" still engage in tribal warfare of Dem vs. Rep. I've been reading several books about Washington DC recently (This Town and Why Wall Street Always Wins), and in every case the Dems and Reps just play at hate. They all cash in in the end. It's political theatre. Don't you guys realize that? Go along to get along is the DC philosophy. Getting so emotional about it is just silly.

Reps could be the "red pill" party, but they are just too stupid to do it I think.

And let's face it, there is not the money or power for politicians in red pill.

And in blue pill, politicians are gods.

So what point were you trying to make except that both parties are the same at the top?

I was making the point that Menace and Gio alluded to. Obama and Bush have very different views about policy in many areas, and actually are quite different people yet can behave civilly towards one another. The vast majority of guys on this forum have way more in common with each other than those two men, yet incessantly get worked up about nonsense partisan politics.

There was a time in Washington, not too long ago, where Dems and Reps would catch each other at gentlemanly bars, drink scotch, and discuss issues of the day. They would likely agree that guys like you and me should probably not be allowed to vote.

I don't think partisan politics is nonsense. The parties are nonsense, but political philosophy and how it effects communities, souls and civilizations is not.

The average person should not be allowed to vote, not that voting means anything anyway. As Menace said, it is all just political theatre. Yet Sawyer is also right. There are long term historical consequences of politics on people and groups of people.

Is running a mentally retarded soccer mom from Alaska as vice president, in an attempt to pander to feminists, Red Pill?

Palin shored up Republican voters to the right of McCain, while allowing him to stick the outsider label on their candidacy. McCain got a big bounce after picking her.

And he still lost, the dumbass.

As a person, I like Palin. She's hot, she seems to be a good wife and mother, she's a certified coal burner. But I wouldn't let that bitch anywhere near the nuclear football. And McCain has lived, but at his age it was no guarantee.

If the Republicans were to make any of the following part of their platform:

-Restoring the presumption of innocent before guilty in rape trials
-Restoring the persumption of innocent before guilty in domestic violence cases
-Making divorce courts unbiased and doing away with divorce rape
-Making it to so men had the right to opt out of child support in an unwanted pregnancy by waiving parental rights when the kid is born
-Making it so that child support payments were reasonable and could only be spent on the child, rather than on shoes for the mother

If they were to support one of those, maybe we could call them Red Pill and I'd have to support them. But they don't support any of those, and they don't support anything which is going to help us as men. If you the Republican party has your back, you are wrong. If the Democrats have the feminists, than the Republicans have the white knights.

The red pill is about doing what you need to suceed in this world as a men no matter who is in power. Politics is important, but you should base your support on whose economic/social views you line up- it's somsething completely separate from the self development you need to do as a man.

Really?

Palin shored up Republican voters to the right of McCain, while allowing him to stick the outsider label on their candidacy. McCain got a big bounce after picking her.

The bounce lasted for about five minutes until everyone realized she couldn't count to six without taking off her shoes. I even thought she was kinda hot until she opened her mouth and started talking. McCain revealed himself as fundamentally unserious when he picked her to be next in line for the nuclear codes.
