I think it may be harder to get one in the future so now was the time to get it done. Once I get my new passport it should be good for 10 years.The details: it cost 170 ish with the expensive walgreens photos, they took my birth cert and say they will mail it back to me. I asked what happens if it gets lost in the mail, They said  I can get a copy at the documant center, so a lot more run around. And to top it off, they say they have no idea when it will be done. Four to six weeks prior to the lock down. I am able to track the progress on a govt website so they have the app and docs but no clue on when it ships. So our system has gone from a supersonic jet to a rusty old tin man.</blockquote>
