Its all racism.
This article "Is Tiger Woods Running Out of Money" is bullshit. Why not call it "Tiger Woods Still Has a Half Billion Dollars." But he isn't white, so they gotta keep the negative shit going about him.
Doesn't Tiger still have like 500 million dollars? I read that here:
http://www.examiner.com/celebrity-infide...settlement
Tiger is the greatest golfer to ever play the game.
Who likes golf: White People... Who doesn't like Black People: White People
Old rich white guys that play golf at country clubs that don't let black people join got driven nuts with jealousy when a black guy came around and beat every single one of them at "their" game. The second something came up to tear him down they jumped all over it.
You also gotta take into consideration that all the negative coverage about Tiger comes around the same time that the USA elected it's first Hawaiian President who is also of African descent. You got news of one brown colored person that's good, then later in the news you see this other evil one texting about assfucking. Then however long after it is, you get articles about that one with negative titles, asking if a guy who's got 500 million dollars is broke.
(And I've been through it before on this forum. I'm not saying every single white person hates black people. I'm saying
a high volume of the racist rhetoric originates with them.)
Aloha!
I never quite understood all the fuss about Tiger's affair. Other famous men such as David Letterman cheated on their wives, but yet Tiger gets his balls crushed by the media while Letterman gets a standing ovation. Yes, I agree with Kona that race has something to do with it, and racial dynamics can be complex.
1.The One Drop Rule The One Drop Rule (ODR) basically means that if you are mixed half-white and half-black, then you're still a black person--albeit a lighter-skinned black person. It is as if one drop of black blood is enough destroy your "whiteness." This has its roots in early American history where, in the 17th century, Maryland legislated a law stating the child of a mother-slave will have the status of his mother--not the father. Usually, a child have the status of his father, which has almost always been the case in human history, but this vastly changed things. It was not the Spanish, the Portoguese, and the French who invented this strange racial classification system, it was the Anglos in the U.S. where slavery became a big business.
Want to know why there was a ODR? The answer--women. As one blogger puts it:
"Part of why Anglo-America has a One Drop Rule is because the English brought their own women. The white women would marry white men and have white children. Without that the One Drop Rule would have had little support among men, as it did in the old New Orleans under the French where white women were in short supply."
As far as racial identification, Tiger himself coined the term "cablinasian" as a teen to describe his diverse ancestry. If I'm not mistaken, Tiger is Dutch, African, Thai, and Chinese. Yet, he's still seen as a black guy. If you resemble anything like a black person, then you're black and that's that.
Whereas in the U.S.A. it is strictly black and white (you're either black or not black), Latin American countries tend to discriminate more on
colorism--different shades of black ("light-skinned blacks" vs. "medium-skinned blacks" vs. "dark-skinned blacks"). Caribbean countries tend to have the worst when it comes to colorism. (Skin-lightening, in contrast with western countries, are popular and have been gaining more and more adherents.) Indeed, colorism has a much stronger hold on the world than people realize.
2.Women Using Shaming Tactics on Interracial Couples Similar to how older women shame men who date younger women, women (perhaps to a lesser extent) shame men who "date out" of their race. You will sometimes hear it from white women who disparagingly remark that a white man must have an "Asian fetish" or
Yellow Fever if he is simply dating out or is genuinely interested in another race of women. Which brings me to my 3rd point...
3.White Women, NOT Minority Women, Are Pedestalized in the Media and Pop Culture America is still a majority-white nation where two-thirds of the population is "white." Factor in latinos and hispanics who can pass for white and you will reach an even higher number (70%? 75%? 80%?). Just look at most Disney princess movies. It was not until recently (1990s) that they made films with non-white women as "princesses" (Mulan, Pocahontas, The Princess and the Frog).
This does not mean that non-white women do not have entitlement complexes (they do).
America (and the Indian Troll guy) seems to have a fascination with white women who have blue/green eyes and blonde hair. Just look at the type of women showcased in Playboy and the type of models on fashion catalogs. You will see very little, if any, black women. And when you do, they're usually lighter-skinned or of mixed heritage (Beyonce, Rihanna, etc.)
Furthermore, most white guys simply aren't interested in black women. Let's be honest; I've seen what most black guys would consider a beautiful black woman only to see almost all white guys ignore them or pass them by like they're invisible. In Roosh's post "15 Reasons Why Washington DC Sucks for Guys," point number 7:
There aren’t enough cute white girls for white men who don’t want to date minorities.
