I had a hard time keeping communication open with friends and family in China when they were locked down early in the year.

Its the same thing now.

I had a sick feeling in my gut last night when I thought about their food supply. It going to be devastated. A good amount of their summer crops are going to be destroyed. And I doubt they will ask for help, most likely they will just let the peasants starve again. Awful.

I hope I am wrong. But the total lack of info getting out of China, plus the obvious ignorance of the western media, makes me believe something far bigger is happening in China.

I wouldn't worry about that, there is a lot of noise and propaganda around China now, most of it is grossly exagerated. They might lose 5%-10% of their crops and will make up the deficit by agricultural imports. China has huge foreign currency reserves and a trade surplus, it is at no risk of famine whatsoever. In fact, I would worry more about western countries going forwards with the covid trillions deficits and austerity measures that the globalists are going to implement. Countries like the US or France are going to start loking more and more like Greece after it was raped by Goldman Sacks. Look up the suicide rates, heart attack rates etc there.

This is a bit similar to the doomers who were freaking out about the excess rain in the Midwest last summer which damaged cereal crops. Globally there are always regions affected by local weather patterns , the slack usually gets picked up by other regions.

The amount of land being used for agriculture worldwide is actually declining, because there is a glut in production, with yields constantly rising faster than demand (despite global demand rising pretty fast). If we get into a situation where there are more crop failures, more land will be used.

Note that a lot of the rise in crop yield increase is due to rising CO2 rates. If it weren't for that millions of third world people would be dying of hunger every year.

An animation of the consequences of the dam collapsing

Translation:

'If the dam breaks a 100 meter tall wave of water will pour into the YangZe. Due to the steep mountains on the sides of the river, the water can't escape. The wall of water will reach a pace of 100kmh.

30 minutes after the collapse the wave will reach the Gezhouba dam, which will be destroyed as well. After that point the water will reach the city of YiChang (pop. 4 million, 50km from the GeZhouBa dam). At that point the wave will still be 20 meter in height, and will have a pace of 70kmh. The wave will continue through the YangZe valley, destroying many villages in its path.

At the city of JingZhou (Pop. 5,6 million) the mass of water will split itself. The main wave will hit Yueyang (pop. 5,4 million, 350km from the dam). 10 hours after the collapse the water will reach Wuhan (pop. 11 million)

"It is estimated that when the floodwaters arrive in Wuhan they will be 7 m in height. Although some urban areas of the city on high ground will be spared, other parts will be submerged under 5 m of floodwaters.'"
