Unfortunately, I agree with you. Its worth a thread of its own but the US is in a situation near identical to the Roman Republic to Roman Empire revolution (44 BC) for a number of reasons.I think the plan is to make Biden look as incompetent as possible so Trump wins , and the final revolution finally starts
You can't compare Roman Republic with USA because of many reasons.Unfortunately, I agree with you. Its worth a thread of its own but the US is in a situation near identical to the Roman Republic to Roman Empire revolution (44 BC) for a number of reasons.
-Most of the Founding Fathers were fluent in Latin and Greek which was required to attend Ivy League universities. They had to verse themselves on the Roman Republic and that is how they wrote the Constitution. Now Ivy League universities verse their students on how to select the right toilet to use and that cutting your penis off is normal behavior.
-Aristocrats controlled all the wealth while the people suffered in Rome as they do now. The politics was divided 50/50 and they became paralyzed by greed and fear. Caesar was a populist with the support of the working class and most importantly the military/veterans who promised action but he stood only as a lightning rod until his assassination.
-Jobs were scarce as they had been taken by slaves (for us, by immigrants, automation and importing) and the common people were pissed.
-Open borders with foreigners taking prominent positions in government and business. Policies were set to discriminate against ethnic Romans.
-As the government began to collapse the Oligarchy began to resort to Ochlocracy (mob rule) by using and funding brutal gangs to dominate the streets with impunity while officials were ordered to stand down.
-Disruptions in farming and supply lines. The ensuing wars led to mass famine as farms were salted and grain ships were withheld from Egypt. Wide spread fires engulfed the city.
The Roman Republic lasted 250 before turning in to a fascist empire. America is at 244 years.
