Thanks for posting man. I don't like Rogan at all but I have to put that aside and thank him for introducing me to Jordan Peterson. Incredible person and phenomenal speaker.

If nothing else, Rogan was at least savvy enough to allow Peterson to detail his thoughts without interrupting to counter or to talk over JP as so many other personalities would.

I think part of it was the fact that Peterson didn't dumb down his speech at all, and he was talking to Rogan using the same vocabulary and seriousness he might use with a colleague, and was using a lot of words that Rogan wasn't sure the meaning of. He chose the playing field, a serious intellectual discussion, and in that arena, there is no advantage to being a comedian, a shit talker, a martial artist, a cool guy who smokes a lot of weed, meditates in a flotation tank, knows about brain supplements, or is a MMA announcer.

Rogan usually takes cheap shots at religion, and the reason he couldn't in this interview was that he wasn't sure what Peterson was saying. He kept trying to corral Peterson into a traditional view of Christianity even though Peterson never said he was a traditional Christian, so it didn't work.

Remember all the bone-headed cheap shots he lobbed at Milo? He couldn't do it because Peterson is a serious intellectual and a serious person. He is not a show business figure, or even a person selling a self conscious brand. The lowing hanging fruit of image bashing and nitpicking would have seemed boorish and petty if he had tried it.

Peterson, through his integrity, his seriousness, and his moral probity totally dominated the frame of the discussion. He was the AMOG because he couldn't care less about things like being alpha in this discussion.

This is his strength, along with his obvious passion for what he is saying, and also the reason why I kept disagreeing with Ghost Tiger in the other Peterson thread when he kept saying Peterson was making a mistake by being too reasonable, and not using enough rhetoric.

Being reasonable is his strength, and if he got all rhetorical, he would lose all his power and just be another guy on the internet saying outrageous things to get a reaction.

Unflinching sincerity, backed up by some courage, intellectual rigorousness, some humor, and humility has a power of its own.

You're not alone. I teared up a bit too (and so did the Professor).

As I said in the Peterson thread...

It was a magnificent conversation. An astounding intellect. I'm not too proud to admit to welling up a little right at the end when Rogan asks Dr Peterson, "what can people who want to support you do?"

"Just fix yourself"

Amen.

Joe Rogan's comments on the Rogan Board for the Peterson podcast :

"He was a seriously intense dude. I really enjoyed talking to him, but a lot of it was just me asking the right questions and then getting out of the way. Powerful intellect.
That guy is a dynamo, agree with him or not."

Re: religion :

"I didn't expect the religious angle in the end, and we didn't have much time left to explore that, so I hope it didn't seem abbreviated. I would love to have him on again and I think him communicating with Harris about that subject would be an intense podcast in and of itself."

Wanted to follow up on this, I was meal prepping and listening to Jordan Peterson.

This guy had a profound impact on my thinking about social systems especially when he talked about communism and the social justice warrior cause. His explanation of labeling for people who aren't a "he" or a "she"

Honestly, some of that vocabulary was beyond me, but I understand the gist of it.

This guy has a focus, he's serious, and super intelligent.

Holy shit. Gonna stay up until 4:30 in the morning here in Europe to watch that one.

What a difference from last week when he had that cuck sellout Shane Smith on. I found it cringing to watch. You could tell the podcast had a different vibe to it compared to the previous podcasts they had together when Shane hadn't sold out yet.

I'll check into that. Although I think Joe is a ultra successful faker, or better yet, opportunist, he has no honest interest in this other than making himself as big of a celebrity in this niche of YouTube University philosophy degree. As a comic, he's terrible, especially if you factor in his fame and how long he's being doing it. Eeesh.

He's a typical rich libtard, shallow and materialistic, loaded with money, probably worth few dozen millions, so he wants to hoard up and keep all of that money but he's aware that the income he makes is 10000% dependent on lowest common denominator.

Just like actors or singers, of course they stand for "open borders" and "green energy", it sounds profound, and then they hop on their private jet to one of their real estates, preferably in tax haven location.

Alex Jones is nuts in a certain way, but there's a whole lot of genuine in him, rewind his videos from late 90s, he's been doing this for long, and he knows what's up, but just like Joe, he needs to keep big audience coming, so he resorts to tricks and schticks. But there's something about Alex Jones that just makes me thing that he's "for real" - especially when off air.

Joe, on the other hand, is good buddies with Shane Smith from Vice. That's basically all one needs to know. Red pilled buddy of Shane Smith, sure of course.

Alex Jones aka the Texas Tornado aka the B52 bomber flying over California dropping red pill nukes. I wonder if Shane will get mad at Joe for making this ep.

I saw a short clip of Joe's interview with Shane, when Joe drops some Joe Biden joke and Shane full-on butthurt mode mumbling to himself "yeah...really funny..hilarious". What a bum.

I like Eddie, he has a great interview with Ry Dawson on JFK, one of the best eps on that subject. He's a live wire though, but that's ok.

Eddie is Joe's buddy and runs 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu a pretty famous MMA gym.

But yeah he's throwing off the balance between Joe and Alex.

Joe is able to reel Alex back in which is good.

This is probably gonna be my #1 episode from Joe.
