Everytime this comes up for discussion by the MSM they always say he is a right piece of work and is a fugitive from justice for what he did in Sweden.

These are the same cucks who suck up to Muslims and globalists lies as well so no surprise. Imagine my shock when he ends up in some comfy FED supermax.

As expected, Assange has been arrested.

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has been arrested by police in the UK.

The 47-year-old was arrested by officers from the Metropolitan Police at the Ecuadorian Embassy in London.

He was arrested on a warrant issued by Westminster Magistrates' Court on 29 June 2012, for failing to surrender to the court.

In a statement, the Metropolitan Police said he has been taken into custody at a central London police station where he will remain, before being presented before Westminster Magistrates' Court as soon as is possible.

The police said they were invited into the embassy by the Ambassador, following the Ecuadorian government's withdrawal of asylum.

Julian Assange first came to international prominence in 2010 when WikiLeaks, the organisation which he founded, released tens of thousands of classified military and diplomatic documents in what was the biggest leak in US military history.

It sent shockwaves throughout the political and military worlds. US soldier Chelsea Manning would go on to be convicted in relation to the case, imprisoned and subsequently pardoned.

As the leak was being investigated, Swedish authorities launched an inquiry relating to allegations of sexual assault against Julian Assange.

He denied the allegations and said he feared the changes were a ruse to get him extradited to Sweden to the US in relation to the Wikileaks material.

As a result, he sought refuge in the Ecuadorean Embassy, breaking bail conditions which had been imposed in the UK.

In 2017 Swedish authorities dropped their investigation into Mr Assange saying that all possibilities to conduct an investigation had been exhausted. But a British arrest warrant in relation to him breaching his bail conditions by taking refuge in the Embassy still stood.

He lost his bid to have the arrest warrant dropped.

In October last year, Mr Assange said he was to take legal action against the government of Ecuador, accusing it of violating his "fundamental rights and freedoms".

The move came several months after Ecuador cut off communications for Mr Assange.

WikiLeaks tweeted in response to today's arrest saying Ecuador had "illegally terminated" Julian Assange's political asylum.

According to the Ecuadorian president, the UK has guaranteed he's not to be extradited to a country where he might face torture or the death penalty (i.e. the USA).

I suppose the UK could get around that by just extraditing him to Sweden or having the USA guarantee he won't get the death penalty (which he wouldn't get anyways). Torture of some type, well, who would believe any government? Remember, it's not torture if your government says it's not torture (see: waterboarding).

Assange was a fool for not going to Sweden years ago. Even if he was convicted of those bullshit rape charges (they may have been too fake for even a Swedish judge to uphold), he'd have been out of a slack Swedish prison by now, long before the USA had made serious charges against him.

Now he might be facing life in some hellhole federal supermax.

Will Julian live to see Brexit...?

Will any of us live to see Brexit :dodgy:

(Incidentally, it's handy for our overlords that the msm will now saturate the masses with Assange news, right when the UK has just agreed to delay Brexit yet again, right back to fucking Halloween!)

Trick or treat just took on a whole new meaning.

As for Assange (& Snowden to an extent), if you're going to screw over the globalists. Be at your 'safe house' already...

It's easy to say that now. Did anyone imagine this would last as long as it did?

He probably hoped that so-called journalists would cover this story and keep the public riled up. They didn't. He was basically forgotten until now.

It used to be part of my job how to advise clients how to play extradition warrants. You're in a tough situation, you have to make tough choices.

I thought it back when he went into the Ecuadorian embassy, and looks like I was right, particularly if the warrant for Assange's arrest by the USA wasn't issued until 2017, and it is only for the Manning leaks. He'd have been long free of Sweden by 2017. He wasted years of his life going crazy in the embassy and ultimately fucked himself over.

I don't think the Obama administration wanted to prosecute Assange for the Manning leaks. There's a big press freedom / First Amendment issue, and Obama commuted Manning's military sentence to a small fraction of what the court martial imposed.

Scotland Yard said in a statement that Assange was held for failing to appear in court in June 2012 and "further arrested on behalf of the United States authorities, at 10.53am after his arrival at a central London police station".

In a statement, the British Home Office said: "We can confirm that Julian Assange was arrested in relation to a provisional extradition request from the United States of America.

"He is accused in the United States of America computer related offences."

Imagine my absolute shock it has nothing to do with some slut in Sweden after all this time! Imagine if the British police gave that money to investigate actual rape gangs in british towns and cities which continue to this day.

This is the Trump admin, not Obama.

The guy that showed 1 candidate to be Satans pen pal and thanked by those who voted Trump now faces an unknown punishment in the US relating to such documents.

This is like a Monty Python sketch and to top it off you have the clowns of the British police doing the bidding as usual.

This is the final litmus test for Trump for many I would say. If he does not pardon Assange then thats it. However we cant be having such people out leaking important information now can we? Afterall The Chinese learned from the best in the business didn't they?

Indeed.

The charges are for collaborating with Manning in relation to Iraq war files. Per request of DOJ of Trump admin. Nothing to do with 2016, Podesta, Russia etc.

Trump once against showing his loyalty to those who helped ad supported him and took so much fall as a result...:tard:

Lock Hillary up? Naaah, more like put Julian to the chair

Oh shit. It's finally happened. Personally I think he's fucked a million ways from Sunday, especially if we get our hands on him. He looks great though, that pale skin and beard and body language, not crazy and cabin fever riddled at all.

Trump ain't gonna pardon Assange. Assange isn't some low-level mobster or drug runner. No way in hell did this happen without Trump's approval.

What possible excuse is there for this?
