[QUOTE="Jean Valjean, post: 1035374, member: 11262"] I don't think censorship is going to be a problem at Kings Wiki for the foreseeable future. You can probably express yourself pretty freely there. When you're the ugly forgotten bastard step-child, you don't have to worry about people trying to control you so much. The fact that the family doesn't care about you or view you as much of a reflection on them works to your advantage, because it means that you're allowed to do stuff that the favored daughter wouldn't be able to get away with. You know my philosophy on success and failure. When you become successful, you start to lose some of your freedom. You become the Establishment, in a way, because in order to hold onto your popularity, you have to cater to the masses. (Or in the case of the old media, now that the masses are losing interest in them, they have to cater to the oligarchs.) When Kings Wiki had its initial burst of activity and we were being more heavily promoted, there was more of a concern that we needed to watch what we said and cultivate a certain image that was compatible with the culture of RVF, RoK, etc., with which we were at that time more prominently affiliated. At this point, I think just about everyone on KW is a nationalist, or at least sympathetic to nationalism. So we don't have to worry about arguments raging out of control the way they might at RVF. We can probably deal with issues like race or the JQ more frankly than we could on RVF, because there's less potential for drama. It's kind of like the role of New Hampshire within the U.S.; it's a less populous and more homogenous community where you can go if you want to get away from multiculturalism and all the intercultural conflict that tend to be associated with it. It still has ties to those more populous and more diverse places, but it's at a distance from them. A certain kind of crowd tends to be attracted to a place like that, while another kind of crowd is repelled by it. Most people don't prefer to live in a place where the winters are five months long, so if you choose to live there, maybe it's because you didn't fit in elsewhere. Same thing with KW; if you end up there, it might be because you didn't fit in at RVF, since all else equal, most people prefer to be where the action is. If you not only move to New Hampshire, but go deep into the woods to live like a hermit, that implies that you didn't even fit in among the separatists, or you needed even more privacy. That's what personal wikis are all about. Hey, retreating into seclusion definitely has its advantages, when you need peace and quiet for awhile. The Wright Brothers went to Kitty Hawk for a reason.* It seems to me that each project in the Roosh universe has a certain purpose. You'll notice, for instance, that a lot of Roosh essays start out at RooshV.com before they hit RoK. Maybe that's partly to give people a reason to read RooshV.com, since they can see the latest content that way; but RooshV.com also has a smaller readership than RoK, which means that it's suitable for situations in which it's desired to purposefully release a post to a smaller group of readers at first.
